Nate + Brian are big lovers of 4 things: traveling, friends + family, Disney, and, of course, each other! It was love at first sight for these two, who spent their first date watching the space shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral before heading to Walt Disney World and enjoying all the park’s magic. After they got engaged—Brian proposed mid-flight at 38,000 feet!—it went without saying that these two were headed to the happiest place on earth:
Brian and I have always held a special place in our hearts for Disney. From childhood memories to magical moments with family + friends as adults, we couldn’t think of a more magical place to plan our happily ever after. It came to no surprise that I started planning our Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings years before we were even engaged — let’s just say I was very motivated! Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons gave us an opportunity to have anything our hearts desired during our special day. The beauty, attention to detail, magic, and most of all, the romance of a Disney Wedding, made selecting Disney the easy part—trying to control our excitement was the challenge!
We certainly don’t blame them…how could you NOT be excited about getting married at Walt Disney World? Let’s have a look at N + B’s “Best Day Ever!”
Nate + Brian worked with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings to plan everything from rehearsal to reception. They chose Epcot’s Italy Isola for the rehearsal as a nod to Brian’s Italian heritage. For the ceremony, reception, and after party, they headed to Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort!
First, hosting our rehearsal party at Epcot's Italy Isola was truly special to us. We loved the private space for our family and friends to gather together, enjoy delicious food inspired by the countries around us at Epcot, and have front row seats to Epcot's Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. So many of our guests were so surprised by the beauty of the location.
Second, the moment that Brian and I were able to see the ceremony and reception space before the wedding started. I still remember the moment that the doors opened and we were able to walk in and see everything that we had planned over our time working with Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings. I simply couldn't stop the tears from filling my eyes. It was just so special to see all the hard work and decisions finally come together to create what truly was our "Best Day Ever."
Finally, one of our favorite parts of our wedding was working with the Team at Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings. I can't begin to express how happy and pleased we were with our entire experience. We may never be able to express how thankful we are for Lisa, Sarah, Michelle G., Michelle S., and everyone else that we had the opportunity to work for helping create our "Best Day Ever" and bring our dreams to life. They made the entire process so stress-free, fun, exciting, and magical. They really do have the ability make dreams come true.
The floating candles and soft lighting were inspired by the paper lantern scene in Tangled!
Our biggest advice is to always have fun and enjoy every single minute of the planning process. The time being engaged is probably the most exciting and thrilling times of your lives together, so don't let the stress of wedding planning ruin that. The AMAZING Team at Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings is there for you throughout the process and knowing that their goal was to make sure we had our "Best Day Ever" helped us to really enjoy the process and relax.
Also, I can't stress how important it is to take moments throughout the wedding day/night to stop, breathe, look around at the magic that you created, and truly enjoy it! Your wedding day is going to fly by in a blink of an eye, so it is just so very important to have moments throughout your ceremony and reception where you look around at the love that surrounds you and know that everyone is there for you two and how blessed you are as you enter the next adventure in your lives together.
