Joshua Tree Desert Wedding: Jenn + Jason

desert wedding

Jenn + Jason are both biologists with their PhDs. Jenn studies plant reproduction and Jason studies poison dart frogs! Their love of nature brought them to choose a very unique wedding venue – Rimrock Ranch in Yucca Valley, California which is located in the Mojave desert (home of the Joshua Tree). They invited a small group of friends from all over the world to experience the beauty of the Mojave desert with them on their wedding day. Their wedding decor included a seating chart categorized by indigenous animals, illustrations of animals as table numbers, and dried florals. The invitation even included a field guide to the area – how perfect! :) Thanks so much to Tim and Jess Photography for the photos and congrats to Jenn + Jason!

Our inspiration for the day was our love of nature, and we wanted to be able to share that with our closest friends and family. It was important that we keep the whole celebration intimate, so that we could maximize quality moments with the most important people in our lives, and with each other.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

It is so hard to choose! My favorite moment would have to be the time right before the ceremony – all the guests were sitting and it was just me and Jason and our bridal parties in the 'Hatch House' (Hatch House is the main house on Rimrock Ranch). Everyone was so calm and happy and we just felt surrounded with the strongest love and support!
