Hey guys…. announcement time!! We’re very excited to share that both Jason + I will be attending the By The Lake Creative Wedding Workshop this October in Lake Como, Italy!!! YAY!!
So, what is By The Lake you ask?
By the Lake is a 3 night/4 day interactive workshop for wedding professionals in idyllic Lake Como. During your stay we, along with Lilly of Lilly Red Creative and Christine Cater, will be presenting and participating in an interactive workshop to help wedding professionals:
• Better understand what publishers are seeking for editorial features and how to better target your work to them
• Grow, manage and streamline your business operations
• Find new and better ways to market your business
• Learn from the other attendees as we all participate in interactive styled shoots
• Find your inspiration, forge partnerships + make new friends with the By The Lake fam!
Bottom line, we want to push the boundaries and explore the possibilities of going above and beyond. You’ll learn strategies of what it takes to turn visions into reality. We want to give you tools to grow your business and ultimate financial success.
Consider this workshop both creative and strategic. Striking the perfect balance with successful creative projects and business blueprints is key. Come to the lake to be inspired, energized and walk away having experienced a production that can grow businesses to the next level.
Jason + I are very selective with our speaking engagements (we actually haven’t done any in the past 2 years!), so this is your chance to meet us + pick our brains :) Lots of one-on-one time with us as well as the other speakers – we are keeping the group small so it will be very intimate. Which is a major bonus, but don’t delay too much as there are only 20 spots!
How about Lake Como?
Lake Como is probably one of the dreamiest places you can visit! Jason + I are so excited to return (we had visited for our honeymoon 9 years ago!!), but this time one of our hosts (Lilly of Lilly Red Creative) is FROM Lake Como so we’ll get to see it through her eyes. The workshop will be held at the gorgeous Villa Regina Teodolinda.
Styled Shoot in Lake Como
During our stay you’ll participate in an amazing styled shoot led by Lilly – we’ve featured the work of both Lilly (see here, here and here) and Christine (see here, here and here) numerous times here on GWS so between the two of them and GWS, we’ve put together quite a few editorial shoots. :) You’ll learn how to:
• Find a team for your own shoots
• Create shoots that publishers want to feature
• Promote your work once the feature is published!
Extracurricular Activities
We’ll explore the lovely streets and enjoy the culinary experience in the hidden cafes. We’ll eat AMAZING food. And we’ll find inspiration in the beauty of the old towns that surround the lake. I’m so excited to see how Lake Como inspires everyone! :)
