Intimate Ensenada Mexico Glamping Wedding: Kary + Tae

bride and groom

Kary + Tae are talented wedding photographers, based in Mexico, who’s experience in the industry meant they had a lot of ideas for their own celebration! They wanted to throw a small, intimate gathering – with just 30 of their closest family + friends – to celebrate the commitment they were making to each other in a fun, relaxed setting. And what’s more fun + relaxed than a beach-front campsite?! Since Kary is from Ensenada, it was important for them to tie the knot in her hometown. And as a nod to Tae’s Korean heritage, they chose to incorporate some traditional Korean wedding attire into some of their portraits. Such special ways of including your individual histories into your day! :) Here’s more about it all from Kary:

Our vision behind the wedding was simple and emotional. That is how we envisioned our wedding day. For us it was important for the day to be felt and so we decided to simplify the logistics and organization. We chose Cuatro Cuatros because we wanted the guests to disconnect from the usual routine, relax and feel the day. We wanted the day to be very organic, without a fixed schedule and we designed the wedding with simple DIY decor with gold and creamy white as the main colors.

Thanks so much to Studio Castillero for the beautiful photography + congratulations to Kary + Tae!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our first look was very emotional, seeing each other for the first time and contemplating how incredible it was to have of our loved ones by our side on our wedding day was a feeling we will never forget. Also seeing our friends and family enjoying the day was very memorable for us.

Dinner was held at a small farm-to-table restaurant in Valle De Guadalupe called Restaurante Familia Samarin. Guests dined on local pizza + fresh seafood underneath handmade bunting strung from old olive trees. Such a perfect-sounding evening! :)

And after a delicious meal, Kary + Tae had their first dance as a married couple, lit romantically by the glow of sparklers!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Don't let the small details get in the way of the reason why you are getting married. We are not competing to see who has the prettiest details, or the most elegant party. Choose wisely who will visually document your wedding, you will never regret it. Enjoy the process, and make this an opportunity to become a little closer to your friends and family.
