I love intimate weddings and Alissa + Jeb’s autumn wedding is a perfect example of a lovely small wedding. Their wedding took place this past October and was inspired by the beauty of autumn and the colors, spirit, and abundance of the harvest. I love that they wrote their own vows and had their dogs as part of their wedding day also! After their backyard wedding with their immediate family members, they joined friends + family at their favorite local restaurant in Pittsburgh, Bar Marco, for a reception filled with live music, local fare, homemade desserts, libations, and a made-to-order coffee bar. Their entire wedding and reception was shaped by the complete and generous involvement of friends and family at every stage. Thanks so much to Joey Kennedy for the photos and congrats to Alissa + Jeb!
Actually, our most memorable moment began several months before when we screen printed our handmade, poster-sized invitations with our friend Thommy. The wedding really came to life when the colorful invites were completed. During the reception, the photo booth was a great way to engage friends and maintain an animated guest book.

Smaller is better, stay true to your values, and, if you’re blessed with talented friends or family, involve them as much as possible.
