Industrial New Mexico Warehouse Wedding: Alyssa + Mat

New Mexico wedding

The Yards in Albuquerque, New Mexico is a brand new wedding venue that’s bursting with all that famed industrial charm. Those lovebirds above, Alyssa + Mat, were the first (of what are sure to be many) couple to tie the knot on these totally impressive grounds. They wanted to keep things simple, pulling their inspiration from artistic painting details + vintage finds. They smartly decided against certain traditions that didn’t feel like they’d be a fit and created their own rules by incorporating the things that had the most meaning to them.

Alyssa says, We focused on greenery instead of flowers, made DIY bouquets, and instead of traditional catering, we had a food truck and espresso truck.

We love how the end result was just right for them :) Big thanks to Latisha of Matt & Tish for sharing this gorgeous wedding + stunning new space with us today!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Alyssa: When the music started playing and I was turning the corner to walk down the aisle to see Mat for the first time.

Mat: Watching my bride walk down the aisle and praying with her before hand.

And while some areas of The Yards feature a grittier city feel, the reception area cleans up nicely with the old, industrial windows being a gorgeous focal point. Long, communal dining tables were a great way to utilize the open space.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Keep things simple, the day will be amazing. And put people to work, weddings can be group efforts. We couldn't have done it with out all of the help we got from our family and friends.
