Indiana Jones probably isn’t seen as a typical source for wedding inspiration, but I think this fun tablescape designed around the movie is such a rad idea – and something I know both I + my hubby would love. :) When Josh from Casa de Perrin walked into the Found Vintage Rentals warehouse, he had a vision. Furniture stacked to the ceiling, industrial lights, treasures everywhere you look. It harkened back to images of the warehouse scene from Indiana Jones’ Raiders of the Lost Ark – and they ended up with a glowing table in an unexpected place. An elegant dinner party that is happening with amazing florals in a place of chaos + treasures galore?! What’s not to love! I also love that they played off these fun quotes from the movie: “Snakes. Why’d it have to be snakes?” and “‘X’ never, ever marks the spot.” Big thanks to Studio EMP for the inspiring photos, Honey & Poppies for the florals and Pitbulls & Posies for the paper details!
From Pitbulls and Posies who created the paper goods:
I was going for Snakes! Honestly, I felt like it would be fun to do a take on snakeskin since everyone kept quoting movie lines about snakes. And as soon as I found some snakeskin online, I thought we had to make our own pattern… out of the holy grail… part of the collection from Casa. Antiqued envelopes with coordinating liners delivered the dinner invite… and on the table… the X marked your spot.
From Honey & Poppies who created the gorgeous florals:
Even though the Indiana Jones movies take place in a wide variety of locales, to me the quintessential Indy scene is of him in the jungle. I wanted the flowers to evoke that lush and exotic jungle feel. To achieve this, I used a wide variety of foliage, including several types of fern (umbrella, maidenhair, and sword), assorted creeping vines and tropical leaves, and exotic looking begonia leaves. To me, tropical flora is lush on foliage and scare on actual blooming plants, so I wanted to use just a few really stunning exotic cattleya orchids and gardenias. Both of these flowers also evoke the 1930’s and 40’s (Indy’s time period), when they were commonly worn by ladies out on the town.
From Found Vintage Rentals:
As our collection continues to grow, we were eager to work on a project like this. Playing with shadows, something unexpected, and a scene where we could use so many pieces. For us, this mood wasn’t just about the tabletop, although, we were stoked with the new take on tropicals from Honey & Poppies and the lovely pieces from Casa de Perrin. This was a chance for us to create a complete environment. Celebrations aren’t just about the table; the effect of an event is influenced by the entire setting. This one was all about treasures tucked in hidden places. abundance, opulence, and the reward at the end of a long search.
Pallets stacked to the ceiling, reclaimed wood, an abundance of trunks; the environment was mysterious. Piles of books created walls. Hanging chairs made the tunneled entrance. Trays became shelves. Luggage turned into treasure chests. While the backdrop may not be practical for most weddings, we wanted to demonstrate some out-of-the-box thinking that can transform a space.
Hope this helps demonstrate that your wedding inspiration really can come from anywhere – your favorite movies included. :) Thanks so much to all these super creative artists for sharing their vision with us today!

Love this! I could imagine myself having dinner there.
Nerdy AND spectacular? My favourite combination! What a beautiful shoot; I love how rich everything is.
Thanks so much for the feature, Jen!
This is such a cool idea! Definitely one of the best inspiration shoots I’ve ever seen. I love it!
SO RAD!!! I’d expect nothing less from Studio EMP and found!! :)
My husband would have loved this for our wedding!….although I might have found it impossible to convince him it didn’t require him to carry a whip :-)
Thanks for sharing this Jen!
I walked in to shoot this and was totally blown away by this massive cavelike structure. The whole team worked all day long on this thing… Amazing!
It was an honor to shoot this crazy-cool design- you are all incredible!!
Thanks so much for the post Jen! We were so excited with the outcome, and the pictures (of course ;p) Love to be featured on GWS! What an honor!!!
I hope you stayed & had dinner after the shoot…breath taking…
Wow! This looks great!
This is awesome, so original and well executed!
YES!!! My fiance and I came up with the Indiana Jones theme wedding almost 2 months ago. We had no resources but Disneyland’s Adventure land. Since our venue looks like the Jungle Cruise ride and we got engaged in Disneyland , we thought it’d be appropriate. We took tons of pictures to guide us but this…so great. Thank so much for posting this. We’re glad to see other inspirations.
For a die-hard Indiana Jones fanatics, this is a great and very out of the ordinary. But then, it looks too crowded with all the books and other stuff scattered around. And it looks filthy for me personally. Unique but then, I don’t think so.
I think this is a cool idea! :)
love the pink dainty dishes!
I really like your blog:) Great pics and som much inspiration…I wish you a lovely week.

Really awesome idea, me and my boyfriend has been thinking of something out of the box for our wedding reception. I think this would be a good fit. Thank you so much.
Absolutely fantastic! I want my dining room to look like this :)
This is beyond cool. What a great concept with some awesome details – the bronze goblet and the stacks of books and chairs are perfect!
Jen!
I loved everything about this shoot – thank you so much for the feature! What a fabulous afternoon creating things with treasured friends. So grateful.

I love this! I work at Indiana Jones at Disneyland and think this is a great way to incorporate cinema into a wedding. I just might borrow some of these ideas for my own!
What a fantastic idea! I would absolutely us this for an engagement shoot. The hidden treasure is each other!
this is AMAZING! also you can never go wrong w/ amber moon of pitbulls and posies and megan gray of honey and poppies
This is really fun!!! I just love how they created walls and tunnels from all those vintage props. Great inspiration!
This is great. We walked down the aisle to the theme from Indiana Jones (played on a string quartet). What a way to start the adventure of marriage!
Love it! And I love that it proves that despite working in a library for three years I am not a total librarian… enough to notice the messy books, but not enough to want to organise them! I have posted a link on FB to annoy all my librarian friends though! Tee hee!!!
Holy smokes! Or shall I say snakes!? This is some of the best inspiration I’ve seen in a while!
