Indian Fusion New Zealand Wedding: Aarti + George

Indian Wedding in New Zealand

Effortlessly combining the bride, Aarti’s, Indian background with the groom, George’s, English heritage, today’s beautiful summertime New Zealand wedding, captured by Nisha Ravji Photography, is the perfect inspiration for couples who hope to incorporate both of their unique cultures into their day!

Aarti and her mother took a special trip to India to have her incredibly stunning wedding dress made by one of India’s leading designers, Shyamal and Bhumika. She upheld tradition by wearing red, with her bridesmaids in white (donning airy, patterned two-piece gowns, also made in India, but by Gopi Vaid). Believe us when we say, that the intricate attire was only one of the gorgeous fusion details to grace this stylish beach celebration! The cliffside setting + reception space are definitely not-to-be-missed. And we think you’ll agree the minute you start scrolling…

The paper goods by Sarah Jayne Kavali, who also designed + planned A + G’s celebration, set the right tone with bright, colorful hues and modern typography.

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Finally getting to look into each others eyes as I walked down the aisle - I had butterflies and happy tears and could see George had a tear. It was such a special moment.

Aarti + George share, We decided early on to have a fusion wedding, but also wanted our day to be colourful and fun. We chose the beautiful Opito Bay in the Coromandel peninsula of New Zealand as weve spent lots of time there holidaying with friends and family and have a lot of happy memories. We are both beach and surf lovers so it made sense. We spent a lot of time looking at more traditional wedding venues in the lead up to our day but decided that it just wasn’t for us – we wanted to do something that would last a whole weekend and embrace the great kiwi lifestyle. We were over the moon when we found the perfect bach to host us for our wedding.
