How to Throw a Floral Bridal Shower with Modcloth

A few weeks ago we shared that Modcloth had a wedding dress collection and bridesmaid collection and today we are excited to share some fun ideas you can easily incorporate into a floral filled bridal shower – or perhaps use as inspiration for a lovely spring celebration! Spring has some of the prettiest floral options and with the current big trend of floral dresses, we feel this is the perfect theme for a bridal shower.

Cocktails

We have two fun (and so EASY!) ideas for your cocktails! The first involves a large punch bowl with floral ice cubes to keep sparkling wine cold. :) This is SO easy to recreate and adds the perfect pop of florals to your party. We picked up a bunch of edible flowers from the grocery store (typically found near the herbs in higher end grocery stores). Just place each flower in an ice cube tray and freeze and you are all set with lots of prettiness for your champagne bowl!

TIP – you can keep regular ice cubes on the bottom and keep replacing the pretty floral ice cubes on top!

Then, once you pour the wine in the glass top with 1-2 edible flowers for the prettiest drink you’ve ever seen! So super pretty and VERY easy to create this dreamy drink.

Fashion

Sweets

Donuts are one of our favorite treats right now and we love this easy idea to take simple donuts into gorgeous treats! We picked up some plain donuts from our favorite local donut shop and then made our own frosting which is so easy to do! To make the frosting, we used 2 cups of powdered sugar and then mix with milk slowly until you get the perfect frosting consistency (you want to make sure it drops off the spoon!). Then top the donuts with a bunch of petals from edible flowers. We used the following flowers: Mini Pansies, Marigolds, Snapdragons and Lilacs.

Table Decor

Did you know Modcloth sells that gold flatware?! Love it and the perfect touch for a party. We used that plus some other simple pastel + gold plates along with classic coupe glasses for the sparkling wine. We placed our extra edible flowers on the tables to bring more floral love to our tables as well!
