Warning: you are about to enter kid zone! Admittedly, it’s one of our favorites of the holiday gift guides. Jen is a (boss) Mom; as well as two other ladies on our editorial team. So you can imagine us Mamas take this research very seriously!

Whether you’re gifting for your own little ones – nieces, nephews or your bestie’s baby, we’ve got you covered today! Here’s a little insight to our toy shopping criteria: 1) something they’ll actually play with, 2) something they’ll be excited to open, and 3) something that doesn’t contribute to a home full of ‘stuff.’ Also, although not every product we love for kiddos is based on the STEM concept…it’s defiantly a perk! STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating in four specific areas — science, technology, engineering + math.

Kids LOVE sidewalk chalk and these are some of the raddest we’ve seen! The set includes 9 round chalk pieces inspired by our solar system’s planets (plus one extra for our old pal Pluto). Remember making forts as a kid?! The excitement behind that activity hasn’t lessened with time. Our kids love fort making; and instead of using hair ties + rubber bands (like we did back then), you can get kids this fort making kit! My 7 year old LOVES escape rooms! Since we haven’t been able to get to any this year, this is such a great gift for a child who loves escape rooms and treasure hunts.
