Hitched was last week and it was SO MUCH FUN! I had a blast meeting so many of you guys and other vendors I admire. It totally lived up to the hype! Big thanks to Audrey of Urbanic and Kelly and Paige from Bash, Please for organizing such a rad event and inviting some super talented and super sweet people to share their talents. Seriously you guys, it was like a creative explosion of talent in the already amazing Smog Shoppe. Big thanks to Sarah Yates and Jack Wittbold from Sarah Yates Photography for sharing their photos with me.
One of the many things I was looking forward to was try some of the cupcakes from Enjoy Cupcakes and they were even better than I imagined! I also had a chance to talk with Amber – the owner and baker of the yummy cupcakes – and she really is a sweetheart! The hubby and I are already planning a trip up to Santa Ynez to visit her shop – and some wineries! :)
The lovely ladies of 100 Layer Cake and I were asked to provides some DIY ideas for couples, so we each set up a table with some fun ideas – be sure to check their blog, they are posting their ideas this week and next! Here is a peek at my table – with a few iphone pics from myself :) I’ll be sharing more on how to DIY these super cute + fun flowers and the burlap banner I made next week.
The hubby and I above. Big thanks to him for helping me set up and tear down. Love you!! Sarah modeling one of the yummy cocktails by Heirloom LA. And let me say, honestly the food, it was so amazing. We were lucky enough to be stationed right in front of the food table and Jason made sure I got to try each of their yummy bites. :) If you are looking to wow your guests with amazing food – maybe you are a bit of a foodie yourself, I could not recommend Heirloom LA more. Honest. Check them out – plus the owners are the sweetest couple! So great meeting you both!
How fun is that? Bash, Please created the cutest paint by number painting. By the end of the night, it was finished! What a fun idea for a wedding.
There were some AMAZING tables designed by some of my favorite ladies. Above was by Sitting in a Tree Events. How fun is all the yarn! And below was by Bash, Please. Love the rope they incorporated.
Above was a fun table from Jesi Haack. The flowers hanging over the table are genius! And below is a sweet table from Sweet Emilia Jane.
Lots of other fun vendors such as the SmileBooth (so bummed I missed this!), Untamed Petals, Lo Boheme and more. Then there was a fashion show styled by Summer of Grey Likes Weddings featuring gorgeous gowns by Michelle Rahn.
And how gorgeous is that bouquet from Dandelion Ranch! Love it.
And we can’t forget the rad music from the one and only Flashdance. He had the dance floor dancing all night! All-in-all an amazing night and I was so excited to be a part of it. Already looking forward to the next one! :)
And a fun video from the one and only Shark Pig!
LOVED your DIY coffee filter flowers and poms. Looking forward to the tutorial!
It was a blast! Hmmmm…seems there was a fourth table at the event too. :)

Emilia-Yes! There was a forth table, but I don’t seem to have any photos of it :( If anyone has some (maybe you!?), please email me and I’ll add to the post!
Michael – No I didn’t get to kiss your assistants either :( The night went by way to fast!!
Jen, do you know where the wedding dresses came from?
I wasn’t able to make it :(
Jen, looks like the party was amazing! I can’t wait to see your DIY tutorials. I bookmarked your shoe DIY and will probably do it for my wedding in September ’11. :)
Can’t wait to see a post about those little… fluffy things! Like the one in the ball of twine. I’m not sure what to call it.
Also can’t wait to see the finalists for the Clayton Austin photoshoot! Reading through all of the lyrics has been a blast. Glad you had fun at the Hitched event!
Maggie – Good Question! They are by Michelle Rahn. http://michellerahn.com/
