Happy Friday everyone! I’m going to start a new feature every other Friday for fun + creative engagement photos. I get so many great submissions and this way I’ll be able to share a few more with you guys. I’ll be posting 2-3 sessions every other Friday. I really love seeing all the creative ideas you guys come up with and I hope this helps inspire those of you planning your shoots.
To start today off, we have Emily + Ian. Emily is a fashion designer + stylist for Hurley. Ian, who used to work at Quiksilver, now co-runs a company called Sew Creative. They help companies come up with and promote charitable programs. They wanted to do a shoot that really reflected them – and looks like it was lots of fun to put together! The photos remind me of something you’d see in Vogue Magazine – gorgeous photography by Bradeon Photography.
Our second couple are Mackenzie + Ben. They wanted to do their engagement photos at their house. I love how personal it is documenting some of their favorite things to do as a couple. Photography by Aaron Shintau.
And our last coupe today are Amber + Jessi. Amber + Jessi share a love for reading and writing. Jessi is actually a full time writer! Some of their favorite date nights are the ones where they curl up at Barnes and Noble and read the night away, so what better place for their engagement photos! Love the first e-session! SO cool!
I adore the set of Mackenzie + Ben. So natural, yet creative without harsh overtones.
So fun!! Love all these great shoots!
ooh i love all of these!
I love this. Engagement shoots are my favourite posts to read on your blog so I’m excited you’ll be featuring them every Friday.
I love this post! Fridays will now be extra special! Thank you for sharing!
I love this photos. The photos are so beautiful, casual and intimate. Great ideas!
Emily + Ian’s shoot = pure, simple, love!
How LOVELY!
I love the idea of having your shoot at home and taking photographs of you doing your normal activities. It’s just so authentic and personal.
The simple, every day moments together are the ones you remember when you’re old and gray. How wonderful it will be to look through photos like the ones in this post. :)
Wow! These are such great photos. I especially like the ones of Mackenzie + Ben in their own home. I’m sure these will be a treasure to them forever.
Such a sweet to surprise to see Emily + Ian’s engagement shoot. Love the Mexican Blanket and the sun set backlit images of them playing in the trails. Mackenzie and Ben’s shoot is pure delight. Too funny I know both these brides!
I really like how photogs are basically becoming stylist also.. Great pics peeps!
I love how even though these are all under the category of ‘engagement photos / save the dates’ type things, each set are totally different. So much personality can go into these. I really wish it were a bigger thing when I got married. I think we really missed out on something great.
awe, the library ones are soooo cute.
Wow, Great photos here, I really like the pics inside the library, they are so cute. Keep up the great work!!!
