There’s nothing quite like a good barn wedding, and as soon as we laid eyes on Paige + Geoff’s handmade, vintage-inspired celebration, we knew you guys would love it. These two went the extra mile to ensure their day was as personal as it could be and took a fun, creative approach to planning their I Dos. They planted a tree together during the ceremony, shared poems and songs they love during the reception, and drove off at the end of the night in Geoff’s classic car. In between, all the little details like the groomsmen’s ties (which were hand-knit by Paige), their unique polaroid transfer Save the Date, and the hand-drawn signage + paper goods were all fun representations of the two of them + their beautiful life together!
From the Bride, We wanted our wedding to immediately reflect who we are and what we believe, we both think outside of the box and like to do things our own way instead of doing things just because tradition say so. Geoff and I thought through each step of the traditional wedding process and decided if we wanted to stay traditional or do our own thing. Quite a few of the detail touches to the wedding were courtesy of many trips to the flea market and estate sales. We thought about what we wanted for the decor and then figured out a way to create it. We found wooden sewing spools, made a stand to put in the spool and used them for the seating assignments. We wanted to do as much as we could by ourselves. For example, my maid of honor and I love to crochet, we decided to crochet each of the ties for the groomsmen.
Thanks so much to Josh Gruetzmacher for sharing these lovely photos of Paige + Geoff’s wedding with us and big congrats to the happy couple!
The bridesmaid skirts were handmade by a friend of the couple + paired with simple lace tops from Free People. Such a sweet look for a laid back barn wedding!
And how great do Geoff + the groomsmen look?! We’re pretty into all of the wedding party fashion (and the decor) from P + G’s awesome, rustic shindig! Check out the fun shopping guide we’ve created to help you get the look if you love it, too!
Processional: The wedding party walked down to Ashokan Farewell played by a brass trio and violin (all close friends)
Recessional: Shenandoah – Tom Waits (sung by the wedding party)
First Dance: Love – George Burns + Floyd Huddleston
Neither Geoff or I like champagne but we still wanted to have a time for toasts, Geoff is a bread baker so we decided to have “toast” for toasts!
The reception barn + tent were decorated with lovely + quintessential vintage barn decor. The tablescapes featured vintage lace linens, found handkerchief runners, and antique ribbon spools, books + floral vessels. Such a pretty look!
At the very end of the reception right before we were going to leave in our get away car, Geoff and I had everyone leave the barn and we had one dance all by ourselves with the barn door shut. This was the only time Geoff and I had by ourselves through the entire wedding day and it was such a perfect way to end it!
Think through the entire wedding and decide what YOU want to do, don't do things that you are not interested in and try to personalize it the best you can, in the end the personal touches will be the best memories.

There are so many loving details in this well thought out wedding, but I must say I the stationery is my fave. <3
I adore this dress! I don’t think I’ve ever quite seen anything like it, it’s the perfect blend of boho and classic without taking things too far. I really like how laid back the wedding is, this is a wedding I would like to attend.
Yes, this dress is simply beautiful!
Thanks for sharing Geoff and Paige’s wedding! I love all of the thought and creative details they put into the day to make it their own :)
The bridesmaid skirts were handmade?! Oh, really?! I think these skirts very nice, very special, and just only on the world :D
I love your wedding!
The groom has such a lovely, earnest face. They are great portraits of him. A gorgeous venue, beautifully decorated and the brides dress is perfect. Congratulations to Paige and Geoff.
Flawless styling! Such charming details.
hi! do they have a website or contact info? i have been trying to find a way to check availability for weeks. thank you!:)
What an inspiring and stunning wedding! The shot of you two alone in the barn brought tears to my eyes. Congrats you two!
This is almost exactly how we’ve imagined our big day. A Stardust meets The Shire sort of feel, with lots of hand-made elements. We’re even both the same height like these guys and quite small (which often leads to Hobbity nicknames). Everything from the clothes to the crockery is just a dream to us, congratulations on a beautiful day. We hope ours will be just as magical.
Looking for wedding venues and came across this blog. How do I get in touch with Graf Family Barn?! It’s amazing and exactly what I want. So beautiful!
Love the use of the handkerchief runners. I love hankies for weddings and special occasions.
