Groom Style Inspiration with Gold Coast Goods

Gold Coast Goods

We thought we’d dedicate some time on GWS today to all you grooms-to-be who are currently on the hunt for your wedding day attire! Choosing the right look is the perfect way to infuse your style + personality into your wedding, and similarly to how a bride feels her wedding dress is one of the most important fashion choices she’ll make in her lifetime, picking out a special look for your celebration really is a pretty big deal! Lucky for you fellas, we have Sam of Gold Coast Goods here today to help you decide! In addition to owning her necktie company, Gold Coast Goods, Sam also works as a wardrobe stylist, so she knows a thing or two about piecing together a stylish look. She tells us, When I’m choosing fabrics for our ties, I think about the whole look and versatility is a really important factor for me. I want our ties to be formal enough so that you can wear them with an Armani suit or dress them down with selvedge denim and a casual shirt.

She goes on to say, Weddings right now are such a statement of the couple’s personality and so I think we’re seeing a much more diverse range of looks for grooms. With the shoot I wanted to present a range in the formality of looks and show some of my favorite trends right now.

See the groom looks Sam put together, which were captured perfectly by Phil Chester, below + shop the style in our guides as well! Don’t forget to pop by Gold Coast Goods, too, to browse + buy stylish neckwear + accessories for yourself + your groomsmen for the big day!

For a groom who is looking to do something more casual and playful I always encourage suit separates and I love the idea of mixing prints. Keeping one strong color story, as with this navy and hunter look, keeps it sophisticated and modern.

Blush continues to be a favorite wedding color. I love incorporating this color with the grooms accessories and keeping the whole look neutral with a tan suit.

Denim is second skin these days and why not. I fully support dressing up denim for a wedding and it’s a great way to keep costs down for the wedding party. Adding a vest or suit jacket is a great way to make denim more formal.

The Green suit is one of my favorite trends in menswear right now and I see a lot of weddings gravitating toward this less traditional but beautiful option. It looks gorgeous when you keep the tie in a similar tone and nod to it’s color in the accessories.

A grey tweed suit feels formal while nodding to a vintage look with character. You can keep it classic by adding dark accessories to keep it sleek and polished.

The color of this suit is one of Pantone’s colors of the year so I’m sure we will see this color coming up a lot in weddings. I think it looks beautiful paired with neutral accessories as well as anything in the blue family.
