Today’s pretty styled shoot just so happens to include all the things we love in a celebration: gold, shimmer, watercolor, loose florals, and a cute pup! Take those key elements, and add in a Renaissance theme (genius!) like this team of Texas-based creatives did, and you have the makings of a unique + romantic wedding or fête. We love how Charla Storey perfectly captured the light + airy feel of the setting and Lottie from Grit + Gold definitely nailed it with the glam, Renaissance-inspired details. She designed an environment that definitely catches the vibe, but doesn’t get too literal. Great inspiration for any bride looking for some fun + whimsical wedding ideas! Let’s hear more about Lottie’s vision:
The inspiration behind this shoot was very much pulled from Botticelli. Soft fabric and flowing dresses, romantic and natural makeup, and low, lush floral embellishment. While we drew from the renaissance, I also wanted to bring it to current day so the lighting was much more soft than the typically dramatic shadowing of Early Modern Period. It was beautifully detailed with bust statue centerpieces, fresh fruit, hand painted invitations and one amazingly golden cake…
Isn’t this a fun location? Texas couples who are looking for a warehouse-style setting for your big day, you just may want to check this place out! It’s the Hickory Street Annex in Dallas, Texas.
And loving her pretty beaded capelet from BHLDN!
Loving that shimmery linen, ornate white chairs from Chairs with Character + the pretty arrangements by R Love Floral!
We love how the team took an old-world idea + transformed it into a beautifully modern wedding environment! Big thanks to everyone below for sharing their talents with us today!

I think I’m in love! I want to get married again and have every one of these gorgeous details. Amazing work!
Beautiful! I love every detail…but I think my favorite is the sequin table cloth. The table setting is stunning.
What an awesome place to get married!
