Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week and wanted to welcome all the newly engaged couples out there who just discovered our site. :)
What I’m currently loving…

Love the type treatment on this wedding invitation
Bridesmaids in pretty shawls as photographed by Simply Bloom Photography (actually the whole wedding is pretty gorgeous!)
And in case you missed it: Last week I shared all my favorites from 2010 – my favorite bouquets, fashion details, wedding details + engagement sessions. You can see them all here.
If you live in socal, the Utterly Engaged Party is Jan 19th in Long Beach, CA! It’s open to brides + vendors and should be lots of fun. There will be a design challange and I’m super excited to be one of the judges. Hope to see lots of you there!
Also, I wanted to share this fun event with you guys. Michelle Rahn creates gorgeous couture dresses at an affordable price. She was the hand picked designer of the Hitched fashion show last fall and I recently had the chance to meet her and see her dresses in person. They are stunning! I also fell in love with all the gorgeous handmade belts she creates – so pretty. They are inspired by vintage jewelry and are hand beaded of Swarovski crystal + buillion embroidery. The best part about purchasing a pretty belt like this is you really can wear it again. It’s a gorgeous statement piece that you can mix into your wardrobe after you are married and is a wonderful memento of your wedding day. Michelle is based in Chicago but will be at the Bridal Bar in LA this Jan (see the invite above). She will also be at M Bride in La Jolla, CA in early Feb if you can’t make the event above. AND, as a bonus to GWS readers, if you make an appointment to meet Michelle and learn about her gorgeous dresses you will be entered to win your very own swarovski crystal belt (a value of $500!). Just be sure to mention GWS when you make your appointment. Thanks Michelle!
