I love the idea of taking a simple dress and adding a bold flower belt as a statement. It works for the bride or the bridesmaids. J crew has this stunning dress for sale right now and below is one of my all-time favorite gowns – a Reem Acra from 2007 with a beautiful green sash and flower.
Twigs & Honey makes these one-of-a-kind amazing flower belts. Many of her pieces work as headbands also, so you could use the sash again in a totally different way – love that!
Beautiful ban.do flower belt and below Nellie’s brand new line of flower sashes.
What a fun accessory they would be for your bridesmaids or yourself! Anyone planning on wearing these or having your bridesmaids wear them?
so pretty!
great post! so many pretty sashes to choose from!
i am so buying one of those sashes to go with my dress!! My husband and i are renewing our vows sometime in the near future! (we have been separated for over 6 months, but God is restoring our marriage!! :D )
These are exactly what I've been looking for. My dress is all lace and these would break it up perfectly!
love the gown with the green sash and lovely flower. flower belts are a wonderful addition to any dress.
Loving these!
YES PLEASE! :)
I love the flower belt. I hadn't seen any until the other day and I love them. I love that they add such a classy splash of color to an otherwise white dress. And the idea of using them as a headband too is genius!
Just starting the wedding planning. Thanks for this great idea. I wanted one in my hair with the bridesmaids but i might had to go with the belt now. Thanks!!!
I just found your site the other day and let me just say you have impeccable taste! I'm a Southern California photographer and I will defiantly be letting my brides know about this blog! Thanks for putting together such a great resource!
absolutely gorgeous – i love every dress and flower combo in this post!!
Where is the dress with the tiered ruffle skirt from?
i have a question – what about wearing a flower at your waist while also carrying a bouquet?
i'm making my dress and am planning to wear a vintage flower and sash at my waist; i have thought about forgoing a bouquet b/c i thought it would compete. (and i'm not walking down the aisle so do i need something to hold?) but i do love flowers and they look great in photos. hmmm…
I was wondering the same thing. I have a ball gown that would look amazing with a big floral sash off to the side, but i’m also thinking it would compete with the bouquet. I AM walking down the aisle and don’t want to look like too much is going on…
Thank you so much!! -Myra
so so gorgeous!
Thank you!!!

Do you know what the name of the Reem Acra dress is?
Does anyone know where you can buy the green flower belt?
