I absolutely love when couples take the time to really personalize their engagement photos like Tianyi + Dan did for these beautiful photos by Caroline Tran. :) This shoot is inspired by Tianyi’s favorite book, Anne of Green Gables. They wanted the feel of Anne of Green Gables, but make it all about their story. Tianyi + Dan are world travelers and actually had their first date in Tibet! “Lets meet in Tibet” makes a great pick up line, doesn’t it? :) While in Tibet, they climbed a mountain together and hung up traditional prayer flags, which they represented with ribbons in their shoot. Most of their relationship was long distance, so they took turns writing in a journal to each other – this journal also came along on the shoot. Dan’s family also has a huge tradition of making cherry pies together and they will be serving these pies at their wedding. Congrats to Tianyi + Dan!

What a fun couple! These photos have a great country feel to them and I love his hat!
Such beautiful pictures! And I love that this shoot is inspired by Anne of Green Gables but not a direct take on it. As a result, you get that sweet and dreamy vibe that’s still grounded in the couple. Awesome job!
That pie looks fantastic!
Those pies look SO delicious- they’re making me really hungry! I should go eat some celery or something. Also, aodrable dress! And I love the red piping on the porch. So cute!

The Anne series is one of my favourites, so it’s lovely to see a shoot inspired by her :)
What a wonderful scene! Anyone know where her dress is from?
These pictures are amazing. I love the location and the simple styling. I have to say this is my very favorite wedding blog, I love almost every post.
I love these ideas!! This is so helpful.
Beautiful. I love that they kept a journal. It’s such a great testament to a relationship to do something like that.
Oh my goodness, gorgeous! What a great session. I can’t believe she’s wearing a (beautiful) vintage mesh gold belt that we have in our store! Thanks for posting, very inspirational with the touches of red.
