Enchanted Forest Wedding in Oklahoma: Peyton + Colton

Boho Oklahoma Wedding

Choosing macrame backdrops, metallic accents, flickering lanterns and an overall ‘enchanted forest’ vibe,  Peyton + Colton’s modern-bohemian Oklahoma farm wedding is as romantic and ethereal as it is stylish and unique! The lovely bride, Peyton, shares, What I loved about our day was that it was truly organic. It was oh so perfect, yet comma preetely imperfect all at the same time. The morning began as any typical wedding morning would, going to Starbucks with the girls and making our way to the venue where we began to get ready. Now, it was almost time for the first look, and as we made our way outside to go down to the Enchanted Forest, I noticed the rain clouds moving in. It was not supposed to rain (typical Oklahoma)! Everyone of course already knew but no one had told me. They guaranteed it would pass before the ceremony. Colton was waiting for me in the Enchanted Forest and I was instructed to walk towards him. I was so excited! As I came up behind him and hugged him from behind, he turned around and at that exact moment was this HUGE roar of thunder! I began laughing so hard at the irony and tearing up all at the same time from looking at my soon to be husband standing there so handsome!

Big thanks to Gene Pease for the beautiful photos below and congrats to the newlyweds on a truly beautiful day!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our vows were by far the highlight of the day. Colton and I had agreed to write them separately with the only rule being that they had to be around 500 words. If I didn't know he was the one before, the moment we read our vows to each other solidified everything. We both talk about mostly the same things, my obsession with dachshunds, his obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles, and both of our obsessions with traveling. However, the craziest part was that we both ended our vows quoting the exact same line from one of our favorite movies, "About Time."

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Embrace every movement! The things that don't go as planned are sometimes just as memorable as the things that do! Oh, and bring and extra tube of lipstick that you like for once your makeup artist leaves and you need to re-apply :)
