Hello 2017! We’re kicking off the new year with one stunning editorial that is sure to make your jaw drop + heart flutter (in the best way possible). Today, we’re whisked to a whimsical and geometric wonderland! Toying with the idea of intersecting lines, and the romantic feel of rose petals, Revel Petals created a playful, yet elegant design scheme at Seventh Place in Los Angeles (it’s a brand new venue that just opened for wedding bookings!!) Jenni MacLeod of the The Blushing Bird provided her expertise in styling + so many gorgeous garments and accessories from her treasure trove, too.
Marisa of Revel Petals shares the inspiration for the shoot with us: Visualize life as a single, solitary line. So many lives travel parallel or askew of one another, never crossing or becoming aware of each other’s existence — we have a world filled with these life lines. However, when we fall in love, our line + our lover’s don’t just cross: they converge. Consider how monumental this is! With so many life lines in the world never even coming close to one another, it is unfathomably miraculous that any of us meet and fall in love at all. The chances and circumstances that lead to such a relationship are so rare; so when a line converges with another, and those lines travel down an aisle to say “I do”, it is living proof of the profound power and magic of love.
