Early Morning Griffith Park Observatory Elopement: Jane + Adam

Early Morning Elopement

We’re starting this Monday in a gorgeous way with Jane + Adam’s stunning morning elopement at LA’s Griffith Park Observatory. The weather had been gloomy for days, but right after J + A signed their marriage license, the sun broke out with beautiful golden morning light bouncing off the white observatory walls. And we’ve gotta say, it all feels pretty telling of the sweetness these two exude in their photos, captured perfectly by Rad + In Love.

Jane + Adam showed up at Griffith at 6:30 am, dressed to the nines. Jane, with an old Hollywood glam look for her hair + makeup, paired with a stunning vintage beaded gown. And Adam in a dapper, blue Tommy Hilfiger suit. They say, We always planned to elope – my family is in Australia and Adam’s is in Canada and getting everyone together in one place wasn’t really realistic. Plus we’re very low-key (probably to a fault) and just weren’t into the idea of throwing a big wedding. No regrets! It was exactly what we wanted it to be, and we prioritized getting a photographer we were excited about so we’d have a record of the day to share with our loved ones.

We liked the idea of going off out of town and coming home hitched, and LA was a natural choice. The rest of the plans were pretty much made around that. We both love Griffith Observatory (that beautiful deco architecture, that view!) so we chose it for the ceremony. It meant we had to get up early to beat the crowds but it was worth it.

After the vows, and some portraits around the Loz Feliz neighborhood, they headed to Langer’s old school deli near Macarthur Park to get their all time favorite sandwich, the #19 (hot pastrami on rye). Michelle from Rad + In Love says, They had the whole place to themselves and the waitress was tickled to be serving newlyweds sandwiches at 9 am.

And Mad Men fanatics, you just might recognize that house in the photo above. Yep, it’s Don Draper’s childhood home, located in Angelino Heights!

Big thanks to Rad + In Love for sending this gorgeous elopement our way + congrats to Jane + Adam…wishing you two ALL the love!
