This dreamy desert ranch wedding is all kinds of beautiful! With gorgeous imagery by Nicole Leever Photography, soft pink hues complemented by strong pops of color, an abundance of succulents, crochet detailing, a floral crown… What’s not to love?!
When the groom, Mike, proposed to Tenaya, he already had a wedding location in mind: Rimrock Ranch. Set just on the outskirts of Joshua Tree National Park, the ranch has been a very special place to Mike and his family. He and Tenaya traveled to the venue and she shares I’ll never forget the moment I set foot on Rimrock Ranch, with the sunset and Joshua trees in the background.. I was instantly sold! I suddenly found myself pinning everything from flowers, to cocktails, to wedding dresses, in the ‘dusty rose’ hue. We wanted to embrace the ranch style of our venue as well as the natural beauty of the high desert, so we combined pink roses, potted cacti, wildflowers, and even a couple of bull skulls adorned with flowers.
It all sounds so, so pretty! Ready to be inspired?
Tenaya shares While we were out in the middle of the desert – our photographer, Nicole, whipped out a speaker and played hip hop music for a photoshoot with all of my bridesmaids!
Those florals by Hello Gem!! The bright colors of the poppies + hibiscus are such striking pops against the desert landscape.
Look at that stunning crochet detail! The bride’s gorgeous gown is by one of our faves – Rue de Seine.

Tenaya's favorite moments:
I was nervous for literally 10 months leading up to the wedding and even considered getting hypnotized to try and cure my anxiety of public speaking. Once I saw Mike, everyone else faded away and I read my vows like we were the only two people up there. Later in the day, our friends surprised us with a flashmob to 'Sorry' by Justin Bieber (no shame, it's a fantastic song).
Mike's favorite moments:
When Tenaya was reading her vows, the world was standing still and it was just the two of us. I loved when our favorite song by Crosby, Stills, and Nash came on during the silent disco. And finally, before we were announced together - we took a shot of tequila behind the caravan!
We love everything about this! The flower crown + the dog + the bowtie!
All of the cocktails were served out of this vintage caravan/converted mobile bar, The Old Fashioned… Which is owned and operated by the bride + groom!
We’re drooling over this desert tablescape! The subdued hues of the glassware, abundance of succulents, cool placemats, and statement anemone flowers!
No matter how far in advance you plan, the weeks leading up to the big day will be incredibly busy. Make sure you've made room in your schedule for that! And if you can take some time off of work beforehand, do it! I would also go over your vision with someone (besides your fiancé - perhaps your MOH) and let that person answer questions if the planners or any vendors have them on the day of the wedding.
Woo! Now wasn’t that breathtaking? Congratulations Tenaya + Mike!!

Beautiful wedding. Love that you held it in the desert, it makes it look much more fairy tale like.
I love this suit! Where did you find it?
