“If you never did, you should. These things are fun and fun is good.” said the wise Dr. Seuss. And we couldn’t be in more agreement here at GWS! When I first spotted this fun + playful wedding, I totally fell in love with everything about it. Learning that the talented Heather with Amorology was behind the design of the day, it’s no surprise! A bit about the day from Heather: Something new is always what we are looking for and Christine and Bill were just that! We never have done a wedding quite like this one and there was no shortage of fun to be had thanks to our fun loving and playful couple who met while playing adult co-ed soccer. Our bride grew up holding a special place in her heart for Dr. Seuss books, having had them read to her by her mother every night as a child. Those books soon moved over and made room in her heart for Bill as well..but her passion for the weird and the quirky became part of their story.
As an amazing talented graphic designer + illustrator, Christine couldn’t help but put her pens to paper and carry the Dr. Seuss imagery into her graphics for the day. I just love all the fun ways she incorporated Dr. Seuss and the bright, colorful palette into their day – so many great details, that I had to split this wedding into two parts! Big thanks also to Matthew Morgan for the gorgeous photos!
Such a sweet first look!
Loving those bridesmaids dresses and how perfect is the color palette!?
Christine’s father built and custom painted the arch they stood in front.
Check out their Dr. Seuss inspired reception next! So many fun details!!

Gorgeous colors!!!
Great example of a theme that isn’t over the top, it came out beautifully. I too was wondering where the bridesmaid and wedding dresses are from. They are perfect.
stunning image…well done! x
Yet another request for where those bridesmaid dresses came from! So lovely!
I just love the colors of the bouquets and arrangements. And those bridesmaid dresses are darling. Wish I knew where they purchased them!
I love all the colors!
I’m gonna add onto the pile wanting to know where the bridesmaid dresses are from. The backs are so gorgeous!
Also, I’d love to know where the brides shoes are from. They’re soooo cute!
Thanks everyone for the kind comments! The bride purchased the darling bridesmaid dresses at Urban Outfitters.
When I saw the title of this post I thought “oh, no. This could get weird”, but it was totally the opposite!
What a great choice of colors! It looked like such a fun day!
I love this!!! Where is the wedding dress from??? Am in love <3
This was truly a delightful wedding to see. To capture the feel while maintaining a good sense of style .Required a special artistic eye. The transition from day to night was great. Well done.
Congratulations! Today is your day!!
I LOVE Dr. Seuss but was still skeptical until I saw the post. Unbelievable that a Dr. Seuss theme could be so beautiful! Well done!
I also want to know where the bride purchased her shoes. I’m just a bit in love.
Thank you all for the sweet words! Bride Christine here with some answers to questions:
The dress is a Jim Hjelm, model 8763, and I actually got it on craigslist! Worn only once before, it was in near perfect condition, and 80% off retail. More amazingly it needed no alterations, and I’m only 5’1″. It was meant to be!
The shoes are Seychelles, model Mixed Emotions, and I got them at Nordstrom.
Thanks again, and I’d be happy to any other questions that come up!
i have never seen a dr. seuss wedding before. such a cool idea!
What a classy and colourful wedding. Love the bridesmaids dresses! The couple look spectacular.
We had a BLAST at Christine + Bill’s wedding. We love that some of their guests brought Dr. Seuss books into the photo booth with them. You can see them here, so much fun http://pixelphotobooth.com/orange-county-photo-booth-wedding-christine-bill/
