DIY: Rope Vases

DIY neon rope vases

I’m totally in love with these fun vases we created for The Cream Event. And they are super easy (and inexpensive!) to make! You could use any color rope (or yarn) to create these for your wedding or any party.

Materials Needed:
• rope or yarn (we used neon rope + twine purchased at Home Depot)
• glass bottles or vases ( we used a mix of drink bottles and clear vases bought at Michael’s)
• Scissors
• Quick Hold Glue

We found it easiest to start at the top of the vase/bottle. Put some glue on the vase, then start wrapping your first color. I love the mix between the brown with the pops of color, but you could use any colors you like – and as many colors as you like!

HELPFUL TIP: make sure all your rope ends are on one side (which you can face backwards) for a nice clean look.

Also, if you decide to go with neon for your vases, you’ll want to keep the flowers simple in color. I LOVE ranunculus and how modern they look, so white ranunculus where a perfect choice for us and I mixed them with pale pink carnations! Yep, those pink flowers are a type of carnation. I’d never seen that type of carnation before with the jagged petals, but thought they were pretty rad – and of course, very economical.
