I know not everyone out there is a fan of cake – and there are no rules you have to have a cake at your wedding (pretty evident by all the weddings we’ve shared here where the couple had pie, donuts, ice cream or just a dessert table with lots of options!) There are so many ideas out there and you should pick what you as a couple love for dessert. :) A trend I’ve been loving at some of my favorite restaurants here in LA are desserts served in small jars. The perfect serving of something amazing – and so many ways to bring this trend into your day. Some of my favorites are below (and most link to the recipe) so you could make this ahead of time or share with your baker.
Top left is Caramel Budino with Salted Caramel Sauce (AMAZE!), Lemon Souffles with Blueberry Compote, Spiced Poached Pears with Warm Chocolate Sauce & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (this would be perfect for Fall), and perfect for Winter is Shortbread and Eggnog Pudding Trifles.
Above left is Guinness Chocolate Pudding (love the touch with the bottle cap!), Blueberry Trifles with Mascarpone Whip, Cheesecake in a Jar, and Individual Peanut Butter Pies
Cherry Crisp in Jars, Tiramisu in shot glasses, Coconut + Lime Macaroons with Custard, and Mini Donuts with Hot Chocolate
Yum, right?! What will you be serving as your dessert for your wedding?
These look so yummy! I gotta try these! My favorite is the mini donuts with hot chocolate – too cute!!!
These all look delish!
We’re doing tres leches cakes with a rum reduction sauce, plus mini cherry-chocolate cupcakes :)
nomtastical!
The mini donuts and coffee are so cute, I am dying! As a caterer these would be so awesome, because they are pre made and ready to serve. No cake cutting stress! Love it!! Can’t wait to try!
These are so fun! In addition to a traditional cake, we are having a “s’mores dessert table” filled with elements of the tasty treat- chocolate chips, marshmallow fluff, nutella, crepes, graham crakers, chocolate sprinkles, etc. A build-your-own sugary feast!

I love this post. These all look like heaven. I just made a very 70s psychedelic version of cake in a jar for my nephews birthday. This week I’m going to make one of these adult versions.
Please more posts like this. Cannot get enough of seeing desserts… LOVE!
