Condor’s Nest Wedding: Lauren + Taylor

bride and groom with dog

Lauren + Taylor wanted their wedding to feel relaxed, easy and natural – sounds pretty perfect to me! :) They made sure to hire great creative artists for their day as well as put together a bunch of DIY projects. Their wedding took place at one of my favorite rustic venues, Condor’s Nest Ranch in Temecula, California and it was truly a labor of love as every detail had special meaning to them. Big thanks to Swoon by Katie for the photos and congrats to Lauren + Taylor!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Lauren: The entire day was perfect from start to finish, but if I had to choose one moment it would probably be our first dance. We really made it fun and let our personalities shine through. “Shakin it” for the first time as husband and wife is something I will never forget.

Taylor: Seeing Lauren for the first time. We did a first look with our photographer and it was so great to have that time together before the ceremony began.

Taylor built the refreshment stand that we used to serve margaritas and water before the ceremony.

We planted all of the succulent centerpieces in milk glass that I have been collecting for over 10 years.

We chose Altoids as wedding favors because when Taylor proposed he had the ring safely hidden in an Altoids tin.

My dear friend and bridesmaid, Brooke, baked our delicious carrot cake cupcakes.

Surround yourself with vendors who you respect and who inspire you. I am so grateful for the ladies who helped us create our wedding and I am thankful that they have become our friends in the process!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

This may sound cliché, but the day really does fly by. Take a moment to appreciate and thank all of your friends and family who have come to support you and help celebrate your love. Also, set aside a few minutes from the busy timeline of your wedding day to spend with your new husband. Having a sweetheart table gave us the opportunity to really enjoy each other in the midst of everything else that was going on around us.
