Oh, giant balloons + frilly piñata LOVE letters, we adore you so! And thus, by default, we adore Tara + Nathan and their colorful, modern Seattle farm wedding, too! Since they’re both designers with a killer sense of style, T + N knew the details and design elements would be an important (and fun) part of the wedding process. They focused on key elements that helped bring their unique vision to life, with a special emphasis on the day’s paper goods. Yes, these self-professed stationery nerds knew they wanted their invitation + wedding signage to really set the tone for the whole celebration! As for the rest, they saved money on smaller things, splurged on things they couldn’t live without, and made sure that each piece reflected a part of them. And they designed or DIY’d everything together, and the final result was just about as personal + meaningful as can be!
A big thanks goes out to Julie Harmsen Photography for sharing these pretty images with us today + congratulations to Tara + Nathan!
Such a bright, happy bouquet by Marigold and Mint!

Ok, seriously, how cute does their pup look in his floral wreath?! If you’re including your dog into your day + want to make something similar for them to wear, check our our fido floral wreath DIY! :)
Our love for spray-painted animal figurines is still going strong! Major love for their super cute escort display. And it’s such an easy DIY if you love it, too!
Sugarcomb rocked the reception with the most fun event design! And on a fun side note, Tara recently joined their team + now plans and designs weddings with the Sugarcomb crew!
Turning to each other during the reception and both saying "This is the best day of our lives. Everything is perfect."
Keep the meaning of the day in perspective. The day is a celebration of your marriage - don't lose sight of what's most important. As long as you are both there, the day is already perfect.
Make decisions that will leave you with no regrets, even if it means compromising - remember hurt feelings can last a long time! And take advice/opinions with a grain of salt. Everyone sees your wedding day as their wedding day, so make sure to follow your heart.
Hire a wedding planner/coordinator that matches your personality and style. Not only are they a constant partner during the planning process, but they will ensure your vision comes to life and give you piece of mind that your wedding day will run smoothly. It is always great to have friends and family offer to help on your wedding day, but truly they should be having fun and enjoying the day as much as you.
