Colorful Industrial Playground Elopement Inspiration

For today’s ultra-fun styled shoot, artist + stylist Rachel LaBarre teamed up with the floral design squad, Native Poppy, to transform the ah-mazing Studio Q (in Oceanside, CA) into the coziest and happiest of party spaces. One of the things we love the most about this colorful editorial is that it features an adorable, newly-engaged real-life couple. You can seriously feel the love, folks! Natalie of Native Poppy shares, When my yoga teacher showed up to class with a stunning diamond on her finger I knew I had to design her big day. However, in free-spirited yoga teacher form, Rachel and her love Max decided they wanted romantically elope out of the country. With that being the case I convinced them to let me design a photoshoot in their honor. Because they were just engaged and are planning on eloping very soon, I think they were especially giddy during the shoot!

So fun, right?! The other thing we love most about this one? Hannah Costello’s stunning snaps of the pretty setting! Read on for more details on the team’s inspiration + to see the rest of the super fun photos!

From the photographers, The entire concept was based around a block print painting done by Rachel LaBarre that was featured as a backdrop behind the bar set up. The geometric patterns in the painting were incorporated in a hand cut table runner and the backdrop installation for their ceremony.

The best elements of the shoot were in the tiny details that helped bring in a sense of humor. The pom pom toss was absolutely adorable!
