As you all probably know by now, I am a huge fan of color + unique details, so Sara + Blake’s handmade Atlanta wedding is right up my alley! In an effort to stay true to themselves and enjoy the planning process, Sara + Blake set out to create a celebration that would be memorable + beautiful, but most of all fun! They enlisted the help of their artistic family + friends to craft colorful elements like the paper fan wall and arrange all the flowers in mismatched vessels. I love the happy, whimsical environment they created for their day! Such great inspiration for those of you who are planning an indoor DIY wedding. Here’s more from Sara about their vision:
I love GWS + it was genuinely an inspiration for me to do my own thing with this wedding. I think the thing that we cared most about was that the wedding would be fun + non-traditional. We wanted our guests to have a good time + really get to know each other. Our ceremony was in an old train venue that has been beautifully restored + we decided on a food truck for our catering. We started early collecting vases, jars + decorations. My bridesmaids picked out their own dresses for the ceremony and even though it poured rain, it was the happiest and best day of my life.
Thank you so much, Kyle Hale, for the incredible photos + congrats to Sara + Blake!
How perfect is Sara’s Flamenca Gown from BHLDN?! The yellow + white sash adds a vibrant pop of color to match the vibe of the day.
For me it was getting ready to see Blake for the first time. I was so excited and nervous at the same time. It was a wonderful moment and one I'll never forget.
Rainy day weddings are always a fave! It’s great to see couples embracing a less than perfect situation + the images captured are always so spontaneous + sweet!

Love that Sara used our DIY String Heart for her day! :)
Don't worry about pleasing others... this is YOUR day. Also, have a good support system, and don't be afraid to let others help you out with details.

I love all details in wedding: photo booth, decoration, cake… <3
This is SO fun & cute…love all the colors, esp. on the bridesmaids!
Whoa we’re totally planning on using Ibiza Bites for our Atlanta wedding! How did the rain affect things? Our parents have already told us that it would be a “disaster” but we disagree. I’m anxious to hear how things went :)
Hey Christi! They were wonderful. They did a cocktail hour appetizer spread and the dinner. Everyone loved it! The food was wonderful and the truck was definitely a fun addition.

What a gorgeous wedding! Beautiful details! We are getting married next month and have a similar color scheme…can we either buy or borrow your awesome paper wheels for our ceremony backdrop?
