When we say that today’s wedding in the woods is colorful, it’s a complete understatement. This wedding was brimming with color from left to right; the bridesmaids + bridesman all wore yellow, the ceremony backdrop featured vibrant fringe…the venue is even named “Casa Rio de Colores.” Erica + Ryan were inspired by the colors of the sunset and didn’t want to compete with how colorful the venue was — so they donned neutral garments, while everything else did the talking. Photographer Geoff Duncan shares that it was one of the most interesting locations + weddings he’s ever photographed — just wait until you see the roof shots!
Erica shares We wanted the whole day to be kept light and just be a complete celebration. I sent Ryan a pin with “Ol’ Gregg” on it that we joke about, to shake any wedding jitters. Ultimately, we just wanted to have a day with great food and drinks, with all the people we love the most!
Let’s travel to Austin, Texas and take a look at all the vibrant colors!
To start off the tour of Casa Rio de Colores…
Ryan donned one sharp dark blue suit by Hugo Boss.
Processional: There is a Light That Never Goes Out Cover by Vitamin String Quartet
Recessional: A Cheering Crowd of All Our Loved Ones :)
First Dance: Come Rain or Come Shine by Ray Charles
Hello fun yellow attire! The dresses were found at Anthropologie, Mod Cloth, and Brooks Brothers; the bright yellow suit is from OppoSuits.
Can’t you just feel the joy + excitement radiating from these two and all their guests? LOVE!
The local blooms + succulent-filled bouquet was created by Prickly Pair Farms.
We let our wedding party choose their attire (with just the guidelines of colors; we all agreed that Randy slayed in the yellow suit) and focused on the fun times we had ahead. We knew we wanted great food and drinks and to spend as much time with the people we loved that traveled to be there! Everyone helped out with decorations and it just made for more time spent together.
Erica wore a custom dress made from vintage 1930s lace.
We loved taking daring pictures on the roof of the three-story house. We were so happy, we didn't care if we fell off the roof right then and there!
The COOLEST! Congrats, congrats, congrats to the both of you!
