Colorful Brooklyn Wedding at 26 Bridge: Grace + Dave

Brooklyn Wedding

Grace + Dave are originally from California, but tied the knot in Brooklyn, New York at 26 Bridge. We LOVE how their wedding day – captured by Amber Gress – perfectly mixed laid-back California details with an industrial Brooklyn vibe, and their planner/designer, Melissa McNeeley, definitely pulled out all the stops to make the colorful setting look insanely amazing!

Below, you’ll find laser cut table ‘numbers’ created by Lion in the Sun, a ceremony backdrop featuring Patina Rentals’ Color Condition Collection, disco balls, hot pink flowers (by Alexandra Abuza), and so much more! The couple tells us, We didn’t really have a master plan, but we knew we wanted a short and very personal ceremony, followed by a feast and a dance party. We asked Dave’s bother Aaron to officiate, and we wrote our own ceremony and vows, and kept our wedding party very small. We served all of our favorite foods, including fried chicken and tacos, and hired a DJ who kept our friends and family on the dance floor!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our incredible coordinator Melissa made sure we had about 15 minutes to spend just the two of us right after the ceremony. We knew we would get pulled in a million different directions once we went to our cocktail hour, so it was so nice to have that time to ourselves. A close second, was definitely the epic dance party and sing along to Queen at the end of the night.

The lush tablescapes really showed off Grace + Dave’s playful, yet stylish sensibility, including laser cut table numbers showcasing Luchador, pizza slices and, of course, their dog! The gorgeous florals by Alexandra Abuza added a sense of beauty + whimsy to the industrial setting.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Hire a coordinator who you really click with. It will make the entire planning process so much more fun, and they will be able to put you in touch with like minded and talented vendors. We were so lucky to have such an incredible team, who worked so well together. Most importantly, pick traditions and customs that mean something to the both of you, and ditch the ones that don't.
