Cayucos Creek Barn Wedding: Dayna + Cory

bride and groom

Dayna is from San Diego and Cory is from San Francisco. They wanted an intimate destination wedding with their friends + family, so they chose to meet in the middle of California in the small beach town of Cayucos for a wedding weekend extravaganza at the lovely Cayucos Creek Barn. Dayna + Cory are super laid-back, so naturally their ceremony + reception were laid-back as well. :) I love that their fashion was laid-back too – Dayna wore a pretty Joanna August dress, gold heels, and a floral wreath on top of her gorgeous dark locks and Cory rolled-up his sleeves and sported dark blue jeans.

On the side of a weathered grey barn, by the officiation of Dayna’s brother, these two Cal Berkley alumni tied the knot under the hot September sun. Later, the barn lit up with antiques and they even had the wedding dresses from both Dayna’s mother and grandmother hung along the wood paneled walls. Thanks so much to Bethany Carlson Photography for the photos and congrats to Dayna + Cory!

Cory: It was Dayna walking down the aisle as well as everyone singing ‘Hey Jude’ together at the end of the night as the last song.

Dayna: My most memorable moment of the wedding day was the ceremony. Walking down the aisle to meet Cory was so exciting. I couldn’t wait to stand next to him. My brother was our officiant and had everyone smiling, laughing and crying the entire time. It was such a special moment.

  5. Beautiful! Would love to know where the purple bridesmaid dress is from? Thank you!

    • HI! I believe you are talking about the dress I am wearing in the photo… It’s the dark dress. It’s actually taupe (“Landslide”) in color! The dress is made by Joanna August. http://www.joannaaugust.com/ This is the same designer who made the Bride’s dress and also the dress I am wearing is the same that the MOH is wearing (hers is neutral color with sleeves). Hope this help s you, trust me, you won’t be disappointed with this dress! :)

  6. Gorgeous wedding and a very beautiful venue
