Bright + Textural Wedding Inspiration

pretty lace backdrop

What do you get when you pair vibrant color with incredible texture and beautiful blooms? You’re looking it at, friends! The creatives behind today’s editorial, Mint Photography, The Confetti Committee and Bricolage Florals, wanted to inspire the non-traditional bride and groom to incorporate pops of bright colors + lots and lots of lace into their day! We just so happen to love both of those things! And we’re guessing that all of you who are planning a wedding for next spring are probably starting to really brainstorm the design and dream up the fun details at this point, so we’re hopeful that this gorgeous setting will inspire you in more ways than one. It’s just oh-so-perfect for a springtime soiree!

From Allie and Kelly of Mint Photography, This summery shoot is both modern and bohemian, with a very relaxed feel. We love the whimsical look of all things bohemian, but we are also continuously attracted to bold colors and a modern vibe. This shoot was an attempt to marry these two loves.

The Cordelle Nashville Wedding: Leigh + David

Nashville Wedding

Today’s wedding has such a great story behind it! A few years ago Leigh + David were living in Los Angeles when they took their first trip as a couple to Nashville. They both fell deeply in love with the city, and after a romantic surprise proposal in Central Park, they knew they wanted to return to Nashville to tie the knot! Leigh shares, In our search for the ideal wedding venue in Nashville we were struggling. We wanted something that was historic yet modern, indoor/outdoor, inspired, unique and in the heart of the city but we couldn’t find it. In a conversation with my mom she jokingly said “Why don’t you just build it?”…she always has excellent ideas! Leigh partnered with her twin sister Chandra Watson (you may recognize these ladies from their group The Watson Twins!) and their long time friend Nealy, and began creating their version of the perfect event venue in Nashville. And with that, their space, The Cordelle, was born.

Nestled amidst the downtown landscape of Nashville we found a 130 year old Victorian home that was in jeopardy of being torn down and we knew we had to save her. The property fit all our “wants” and “needs” as far as having space for a garden and a large covered patio. Today we have The Cordelle a mix of historic and the “now”, the past and the present woven together… the ideal spot to tie the knot… and so we did! Saying “Yes” to the man I married has inspired my life in so many ways, it also brought Nashville a new event space and a new beginning for all of us!

We adore the rustic + romantic feel Leigh and David brought to the space. Such a great complement to the historical setting and a place that means so much to the two of them! Big thanks to Love Is A Big Deal for these gorgeous captures from the day and congrats to the happy couple + team Cordelle on a beautiful day and a big success! We can’t wait to see lots more gorgeous weddings here!! :)

"First look” photos with my soon-to-be husband!! The traditional bride in me didn’t want to see him until I walked down the aisle, but I’m so glad we had those moments before guests arrived to connect with one another. The happy tears, the smiles and the laughter started our celebration in a way I will never forget, relaxed and in love.

We so love the vintage-meets-modern style these two went with. Leigh wore a gorgeous Nicole Miller gown from The Dress Theory paired with a delicate Twigs & Honey halo + fun Anthropologie booties. David rocked a J.Crew suit with a dapper Otis James tie + Nic Fouquet hat! Looking so good, guys! :)

Building your own venue isn’t for everyone and its ALOT of hard work, but I do think the venue is a very important part of the design and style of your event! Every couple should make sure they love their wedding location because the venue and the dress really set the tone.

Rose Gold + Yellow Sapphire Inspired Fall Wedding Trends

Fall really just can’t be beat. The crisp air, the moody hues, the fact that everyone is in a celebrating + gathering mode – it’s the perfect season for hosting your wedding, or (ahem!) popping the question! To celebrate all of the engagements + weddings that are sure to happen over the next several months, we thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite engagement + wedding ring styles from Shane Co., paired with some of our favorite wedding looks for fall, inspired by two of our current favor trends: rose gold + yellow sapphires!

Rose gold is forever one of our fave wedding trends, but it’s an especially appealing hue for fall brides + grooms who want to add a little touch of glam to their day! Rose gold works so well with all of the traditional colors you think of when you think fall, but can also act as the perfect jumping off point if you want your fall wedding to have a more unique palette. We love that Shane Co. has a bunch of super pretty sparklers that celebrate this gorgeous shade of gold.

We mega heart yellow sapphires – the stone + the hue! Just take one good look at that stunning yellow lace dress and you’ll see why! We love that Shane Co. carries rings featuring this beautiful gem for brides who want something a bit untraditional!

Yellow Sapphire Wedding Inspiration

Shane Co. is the largest family-owned jewelry store in the US, so to say they offer a wide selection of beautiful baubles is definitely an understatement! Not only is their inventory vast + lovely, Shane Co. also gives their customers the option to easily design their own wedding band or engagement ring, ensuring it’s 100% unique! And since Shane Co. has diligently earned the trust of customers through their combination of quality, value, selection, expertise, integrity and service, couples can shop with them complete and utter confidence. And that, our friends, is a beautiful thing!
