Amy + David’s wedding is captured so gorgeously by Ameris Photography. I love their portraits in a field of sunflowers and their reception in a barn. So super fun! They choose a venue (the Oldfield Orchard in Victoria, Canada) that doesn’t typically host weddings and turned it into a one-of-a-kind wedding space. Amy + David worked on all the details together and that really helped make their day super special to them. Big congrats to Amy + David!
As cliché as it sounds my favorite memory would definitely be walking down the aisle towards my now-husband and seeing his expression. After all of the hectic bustle, driving, decorating, and stress of the morning, I found it hard to really feel present in the moment until I saw him, and saw all of the love that he had written on his face. It made me remember that a wedding is a joining of two people’s souls, and that it isn’t dependant on how perfect the table centerpieces or my hair looks. His face and the tears in his eyes brought everything home.

Start early, and don’t mistake the time in the middle as time where you can sit back before you get closer to the day. I’m notorious for procrastinating, losing momentum in the middle of a project, and doing everything the night before. I tried to start right away, tackling all of my handmade projects, and then ran out of steam at the 6 month mark. You could say I maybe took on too many projects myself, and that I should have either bought or abandoned some of my ideas, but I would like to think that I simply should have been better at my “DIY Time Management”. If you plan on getting crafty, give yourself more time than you think you need for each project.

Such a brilliant!!! wedding! Love the photography, wedding gown, color palette, the flowers, the location…everything…all of the very intricate details like the cake topper, the great font, and the cookies! And how neat to have in-tree/treehouse photos. Very unique. This is a personal GWS wedding fave, for sure!

Me oh my what a gorgeous wedding!! And the photography and styling is so perfect. Swoon
Very nice indeed. It feels so natural, so real, but still expresses this beautifulness and style that defines weddings where you see people have put in a lot of thoughts.
Exellent photography.
gorg wedding–love the field and flower theme
Beautiful! Is there any information available on the bridesmaids’ dresses? I love the mismatched gray look.
I was one of the bridesmaids (the pregnant one). Amy told us that we could get whatever dress we wanted as long as it was grey. Two of the dresses were from J.Crew, one from Jacob, one from H&M. Mine was from A Pea in the Pod (maternity) and I’m not sure where the dark grey dress was from. Hope that helps!
WOW!! It prove that simple and understated can be made fabulous with an incredible backdrop…
LOVING the little boy holding the banner in the aisle, the tree house photos, and just how in love they both seem. Beautiful wedding.
The photos of the couple are really stunning. I’m a big fan of the shots that involve the bride’s bouquet in the same composition as so many matching wildflowers. Great job. Oh. And the tilt-shift lens shots of the wedding party are pretty great too :)
