Best Day Ever Wedding: Sarah + Tyler

best day ever sign

Sarah + Tyler wanted everything in their wedding to be bold, artistic and quirky – my kind of couple! :) The Retreat at Angel Fire in New Mexico was the perfect venue for them since they really wanted to get married in a natural setting. Since they wanted their wedding to be centered around the celebration of two families coming together along with an exciting, but intimate night, they decided to name their wedding “Best Day Ever”. I couldn’t have picked a better name! I love all the special details they included at their wedding including: a paint-by-number station (Sarah is an art teacher), photo booth, caricatures, musician, and cigar bar. Their day truly wouldn’t have been possible without the help of all their talented family + friends who all contributed to their wedding – from building the photo booth + tables, to designing the decor + flowers, to making desserts and drinks. Congrats to Sarah + Tyler and thanks so much to Jennefer Wilson for the lovely photos!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Tyler: Our favorite part of The Best Day Ever? First look. Hands down. It felt like I was in a fairy tale waiting for my bride to walk up behind me. I cherished having that time with her before she walked down the aisle. I was able to hug and kiss her before we had to make an appearance before all our friends and family. It was just us, which is really what it's all about.

The entire party wore Toms shoes and the groomsmen wear was a mix of vintage ties, J. Crew and Gap. Sarah’s gown came from Brides of Amarillo, in Texas and the bridesmaid dresses were handmade from an old family friend Lauren Samuels, owner of House of Lovely.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Our advice is to try and not stress over the details and enjoy this time that you have together. Rather if it's a 3 month engagement or a 2 year engagement, time will fly by so quickly. When you make decisions in your planning, always stay true to your personality and what the both of you like. It will make your wedding day a lot more personal and memorable if you center your wedding day around the two of you. Your wedding is only one day, but your marriage will be for a lifetime. So, try and focus and remember the love that you share with one another and don't get catch up in the stress of wedding chaos.
