I love Day After Sessions. If you don’t have enough time for some great portraits on your wedding day or maybe you weren’t happy with your wedding photos or maybe you just want to capture some more photos in your dress with a different environment, whatever the reason, you can definitely get some amazing photos. They also don’t need to be the day after! I’m actually thinking about doing one of these and it’s been 10 months since my wedding. I would love some photos like this dreamy session captured by one of my favorite photographers, Stephanie Williams. How stunning are these?
love LOVE her bouquet!
You could also go for a much more dramatic session, like this desert session sent to me by the talented duo at Jagger Photography. Love the abandoned train car and old signs!
These are gorgeous!
stephanie williams…she gets me every time! :)
stunning photos!
Amazing…
so gorg! must copy.
Stunning photos but not sure how i feel about the "day after session". The last thing I was thinking about the day after my wedding was running around and taking pictures. Put this on the list next to "morning after brunch"of things I don't get.
Christina – I agree with you. I don't think I would want to do a session literally the day after the wedding. Both these couples did these photos a few weeks after the wedding. I think it depends where you wedding is, what the timing of your weekend is, etc. I know for me having a destination wedding, we just wanted to hang out with friends and family as much as possible over the weekend. I think a month or so after would be perfect – after you've had some time to catch your breath from all the excitement. Or maybe it is a year anniversary present!
We did a day after session for our wedding, and it was the best! We were relaxed, had tons of time, had a chance to enjoy the bouquet and each other all dressed up just on our own…gives you an excuse to get back in your dress, I loved it!
Gorgeous photos – I love that vintage look. I like the idea of having photo's taken after the wedding – a lot more relaxing and less time spent away from family and friends.
great "feel good" images!
I love the groom's tie!
love your blog, very inspiring!
Beautiful couples!
Ah- I love these! I'm a big fan of wedding photos that make the most of the natural landscape whether it be a field or an abandoned train. Love the bouquet too!
Stephanie William's photo's are stunning!
I would love to have some photos taken with my husband. We didn't get many photos take at the renewal ceremony.
Perhaps next year.
