Autumn Arboretum Wedding: Megan + George

wedding party

Megan + George are high school sweethearts who have been together for 8 years + attended 3 proms together! When they started planning for their fall California arboretum wedding, they knew they wanted the day to reflect them as a couple and to include the talents of friends + family who have been by their side all these years. Their celebration was packed with the prettiest fall details and a beautiful rich color palette. And the florals by Art With Nature Design really set the perfect tone for the event. I hope this lovely wedding delivers a big dose of inspiration for all of you couples who are planning now for your fall wedding later this year!

From Megan, We wanted it to be relaxed and fun, but still classy. We worked on little details to make our wedding about the two of us. George and I created a playlist of all our favorite love songs to be played during the cocktail hour and dinner; we served beer from our local brewery; our friend played our songs on the piano for the ceremony; one of my bridesmaids designed the necklaces the girls wore and we all, including George!, worked on making them; and another bridesmaid did my hair for the wedding. All these details and more made our wedding so special to us!

Thanks so much to Acres of Hope Photography for the gorgeous images and Megan + George – congrats on an absolutely beautiful day!

This distressed fireplace mantel from Found Vintage Rentals, which Art With Nature Design beautified with a seeded eucalyptus garland + insanely lovely burgundy dahlias, is probably my favorite detail. Isn’t it gorge?!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

The most memorable moment of our wedding day for me was George's vows. I always knew I had a thoughtful guy, but he surpassed even my expectations with his vows! We've been together since I was 15 and he was 16, so there was definitely a lot to cover. He did such a wonderful job fitting in all aspects of our lives! I'm so happy 618 Studios captured everything he said in our wedding trailer. George and I were also thrilled to see all of our family and friends come together on the dance floor and really enjoy our hard work!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

For us, taking our time planning the wedding was so helpful. We had 14 months to work on all the details, which really kept the process stress free! It's important to remember why you're planning this event!
