Artistic Texas Ranch Wedding: Stacey + Matt

Texas wedding

It’s definitely no surprise that we love a good rustic wedding around here and Stacey + Matt’s fall celebration (at Montesino Ranch in Austin) definitely doesn’t disappoint! Incorporating a sweet blend of vintage + rustic aesthetics, artistic elements – and lots of confetti! – we’re smitten with every last pretty detail. And since these two are both photographers with a creative eye, the styling + decor was a big deal to them. We love that they DIY’d so many fun aspects, borrowed gorge vintage tableware from Stacey’s grandma, and worked with their artistic group of pals to bring their ideas + inspirations to life. Let’s hear a bit of wedding background from Stacey:

Neither of us wanted to have “colors” or a theme, instead just a mix of colors that would work well together.  We let our wedding party wear pretty much whatever they wanted with just a few guidelines. Luckily we have really stylish friends! We added a bunch of small personal touches as well as getting a lot of help from our families and friends which made it feel that much more special for us. Also, because I’ve been in the wedding industry in Texas for many years all of our vendors were actually friends of mine… that was extra special for me!  Especially having one of my good friends as our wedding coordinator (Gina Whittington of WHITT).  I think that particularly helped because they knew us and so they already knew our tastes and personalities as I did theirs.

Kat Bevel, thanks so much for sharing these gorgeous images of Stacey + Matt’s day with us! And a big congrats to the adorable newlyweds!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

My favorite moments were looking around at all of our friends and family during the ceremony and then looking back at Matt, it was so overwhelming (in a good way) to be surrounded by so much love. I made a point to ask our pastor to remind me to do that. Then of course second to that was the epic dance party that ensued! I live for a good dance party.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

I would recommend to brides to relax as much as possible and to truly trust their vendors! Don't try to do everything yourself either. Your friends and family are more than likely overly happy to help. I would also highly recommend having your officiant remind you to take a deep breath and take it all in. So much is going on and it's strange to have so many eyes on you, it's easy to forget to be present and it really does go by so fast! Matt and I were both glad we did that.
