I know we’ve all thought about eloping during the planning process and I’m sure some of you are even planning on an elopement – so this one’s for you lovelies. :)
An elopement doesn’t have to mean no chance for creativity – you can still bring your personalities into an elopement! How about driving to a little white chapel in the middle of nowhere for the ceremony then enjoying a dinner for just the two of you – so romantic. I love this sweet styled shoot sent over from Gem Photo who came up with the concept + photographed it. Thanks also to Melanie Bittick of Jesi Haack Design for the lovely design of the elopement. With cute announcement cards that state “We did it!”and a first dance in the field behind the chapel, I can’t imagine a much more romantic way to say I do…
Isn’t his sequin heart boutonniere perfect? It’s from ban.do and only cost $10!
Perfect spot for a first dance.
Thanks so much to all these talented vendors for sharing your creativity with us!

I always thought eloping was spur of the moment, no time for planning, hop on a plane then vegas. This definitely proved me wrong. The cute cocktail dress and warm setting made this wedding even more romantic.

That car is a Triumph Spitfire! I have one of those!!!
Elopement. We never called it that. Twenty-six years ago we went away to Ullapool, Scotland to get married. It was lovely. I wore a simple Laura Ashley cotton dress, my now husband wore a simple cotton suit. We went over the Loch in a motorboat after the ceremony to stay in the then famous (however, we did not know it at the time!) Altnaharrie. We are from CT, USA. We stayed in Scotland for a month and went to hear celidhs, hike, join in the culture. Our families had a big party when we got home. Our wedding gift was “the trip”…and a nice Moss Backpacking tent. I loved going away for an entire month, connecting with one another and could not have had a more romantic wedding. I highly recommend it! We are celebrating our 26th anniversary in a week. We have a cabin out back on our property and we create a romantic getaway back there. To me…a wedding is about the two folks getting married…elope if you can…you’ll be thrilled that you did!
the first photo is the sweetest!!!!!!!!! :)
These images are lovely. I love the bride’s dress, and the simplistic elegance of this shoot!

This is gorgeous! Bodega Bay is particular favorite of mine, since we honeymooned there.
Wow. Such lovely images. I didn’t do much planning at all for my elopement 12 years ago. Such a blur, it landed me in Ireland via Japan! ;)
Stunning looks, it is very gorgeous look. Thank you for your sharing.
