Abby + Chris’ laid-back Colorado barn wedding really couldn’t have been any sweeter. Everything from beginning to end reflected their fun + genuine personalities and the details of the day were just the right balance of rustic + vintage. We’re loving their refreshing color palette of peach + mint – such a dreamy juxtaposition to the faded green fields + weathered barn wood that made up their surroundings. Let’s hear a bit more about the day from Abby:
We really just wanted to have a big party with the people that we love the most! Nothing too formal. We hosted it in a friend’s backyard (who just happens to own a spectacular barn!), brought in a local food truck that Chris and I frequent, and celebrated with square dancing (you have to have square dancing in a barn, right?), cornhole and croquet! We wanted our wedding to reflect us…and we’re not fans of tradition for tradition’s sake.
Big thanks to Juan Maclean for sharing these lovely images with us today and congratulations to Abby + Chris!
Abby wore a simple J.Crew dress she purchased pre-owned from Ebay, paired with a sweet, mint-hued cardi. Such a perfect look for a backyard barn affair!
Abby + Chris’ dear friend, Cori Cook, designed the pretty peach-infused bouquets and arrangements!
Promise we’re swooning over this insanely sweet ceremony, but we’re also just a little too smitten with Abby’s perfect Twigs and Honey veil not to say something about it! ;)
Abby + Chris are big history buffs, so when their friend offered to let them take photos + drive away in his WWII throwback Morgan, they definitely weren’t going to turn down that offer!
Dancing arm in arm around the barn with our amazing friends and family who have loved and supported us...all leading up to this day!
A bride can drive herself mad trying to live up to the things she sees on blogs and pinterest. Don't lose sight of the whole point of the day...marrying the one you love! No one is going to give you an award for the most projects completed for your wedding - so don't feel bad about hiring some of it out. And don't feel pressure to fit a generic mold...make it your own. Having elements that reflect who you are will make it more meaningful.

Simple, elegant, and beautiful! Abby’s dress is stunning! Thank you for sharing..
How did the square dancing go over?! We are having this at our barn wedding too.
Wowsers! What a cool wedding!! Loved the brides elegant but casual style and the little pop of color from the green cardigan!
Is there any way to get a hold of the owners of this barn?? I’m in love!!
Did you ever find out how to get in touch with owners!? I love this barn also!!
I didn’t :( But if you’re in the market for a venue, check out Younger Ranch!! That’s what we decided on, in a heart beat! I don’t think their website shows everything, but they’ve done a lot of cute, vintage, updating. It’s dreamy :)
I’m dying to find this barn!!! I can’t find anything on google!
