Such a fun fun couple to share with you guys today! A bit whimsical and with lots of laughs – I just love it. Photographed by the talented Yvonne Wong and styled by Yeri (the bride), it is just perfect. From Yeri, The inspiration behind this shoot was mainly to do something different, fun, and colorful. An intimate tea party for two that was equal parts romantic and silly. Adam + I are pretty low key people and this gave us an opportunity to dress up as well as an excuse to have Adam in a bow tie and suspenders. He looked so cute! Adam and I met at the University of Washington in 2001 and have been together for almost 7 years. But time flies when it’s filled with laughter!
Our wedding had a vintage carnival theme and I wanted the engagement shoot to be a cohesive part of the entire wedding. I’m inspired by fun colors and pretty patterns and I feel that the styling for the shoot mirrors that sentiment. From the brightly hued macarons (homemade by Yvonne and I!) to the paper cutout garlands, each detail was planned out to show the story. The popcorn scene was a nod to the carnival as was the polka dot dress (Anthropologie), pink hat (Boutique store in Seattle) and top hat (Costume store). The other items were things that I had around the house: wrought iron chairs (TJ Maxx) and candlesticks (Goodwill).
The photo shoot and the wedding has inspired me to start my own business of wedding invitations, stylings, and other paper fancies called yeri yun designs. I can’t wait to continue my work with brides + grooms to create a custom design that will pass on the inspiration onto their guests! Yvonne was fantastic to work with. She made both Adam and I feel incredibly comfortable and had us laughing the entire time! She does a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of our relationship and revealing them on film.
Thanks so much Yvonne and Yeri for sharing your work with us. They are both located in Seattle, Washington and travel worldwide. Check out more of Yvonne’s gorgeous photos here on her blog.
Omg!!! So sweet and cute and precious! LOVE the pic of the upsidedown smooch. So adorable. Love the light-hearted nature. Definitely alleviates some of those “in front of the camera” jitters! <3

I love it when couples bring their own individuality to their weddings. Too many people get caught up in having to have something traditional. Great photos!
Love the fact this couple is so unique! We don’t all need to follow the crowd! Stunning pics.
