Monique + Craig decided to have a fly fishing themed wedding in the Drakensberg in South Africa. They chose to have a 4pm service, going up the mountain on horses, coming down the mountain on a tractor and a reception arrival by boat. Such a unique + totally them wedding. Monique, Craig and all their guests just exude happiness. A truly perfect wedding day for a couple matched by the stars! And special thanks to Jacki Bruniquel for the gorgeous photos! Jacki is located in South Africa for all you South African readers – be sure to check out more of her work, she is super talented as you’ll see from these photos! :)
What an entrance, right?!
Such a fun idea for a boat ride before the reception! :)
All the flowers were put together by the mother of the bride with help of the bridesmaids + family.
Big congrats to Monique + Craig and thanks again to Jacki for sending this wedding my way!

Love this! It is so refreshing and clean. What a landscape too!
My mom and I are also thinking about doing our flowers ourselves. I would love to get this bride’s advice on the subject!
the floating lanterns make the wedding seem like a fairytale. that, for me, is the quintessential feeling for my weddings…. fairytale!

Wow! I would not have thought a fly-fishing themed wedding would be so beautiful and romantic! :) That location is just gorgeous, and I love the silhouette shot of the couple and the tree.
I am sitting in Mumbai airport as I type this! Just wanted to say thanks so much for featuring this special day! Really chuffed to be featured by you. Love love love your blog! x
Wow such an honour to be featured here but most of it goes to my brilliant photographer, Jacki Bruniquel, who was absolutely amazing on the day! From lying on dirt roads, climbing trees, lying under tractors to standing on basins to get all of the most awesome shots! She is brilliant and highly recommended. You should see the rest of the album!! South Africa is an awesome place with so much to offer and the most amazing landscape, this is just a tiny part of it all! To “CN”, doing the flowers yourself is a great idea, we all had such fun on the day before decorating the bedouin tent and have lots of special memories from it!
I want to say thanks for sharing this great and precious moment of your wedding. I like the ideas of fly fishing wedding.
