Karrie from Posh-Paperie sent me some details from an adorable wedding she worked on. I’ve seen lots of bird themed weddings, but never pigeon! Did you know pigeons mate for life? What a perfect theme for a wedding. The wedding took place at the Darlington House in La Jolla, California with a color palette that included all shades of blue (primarily navy) with pops of red as bright, cheerful accents. With a vintage feel, the stationery by Posh-Paperie set the tone for the style of the entire event. Planning was done by Carter + Cook Event Co. and the photography was by Sean Walker Photography (with the exception of the very last photo of the couple by Krystal Adele ). Their event was elegant, but also fun…complete with a delectable dessert bar (cupcakes by Cupcakes Squared), a “DIY” vintage polaroid photo booth, and “Izze” sodas in every color of the rainbow.
Love it all! Those vendors are amazing!
I love the pigeons and the colors and the sodas…I love it all! The take your own picture part is so sweet!
One of my favorites that I have seen on this blog! Love the shade of blue, AMAZING!
Very nice but I love original vintage!
great stuff. love the colors.
This is so different and lovely. The shade of blue is striking!
I LOVE the invitations, so classic and modern.
I love it when a couple puts their stamp on their wedding.
i love the invites but LOVE the books in the background even more…whose are those? they're beautiful..
Love it! All if it is just gorgeous.
Love it!!! So beautiful the colors!
this & Kathryn at Snippet & Ink's pig inspiration board yesterday totally made my week…thanks!
I don't even LIKE pigeons and these invitations make me happy–the china blue and white looks amazing together.
Pigeons get such a bad wrap–nice to see them in their best light here! : )
I love the Polaroid camera idea.. Where did the camera and film come from, and was it expensive?
both the camera and film were bought on ebay, seperatly of course lol
Oh em gee. Our wedding is bird themed, too, but this is so beautiful! I might steal the buckets-of-Izze-soda idea, not gonna dance around it. :)
