Two weeks ago while in Vegas, I had the honor of working with Vania + Christine of Simply Bloom Photography to style a photo shoot for them. The real life couple flew in from Wisconsin (yep, it’s a good thing Krysta + Brady were prepared for the cold, because it got really cold out there!) to be our models. For the shoot, we wanted to show that the bride doesn’t have to wear white, this pink dress by designer Claire La Faye would be such a lovely dress for a wedding! I’m also totally in love with the idea of real flowers worn as a halo and just love what Layers of Lovely created for Krysta. For our bohemian bride, Lisa Strawther did an amazing job with the hair + make-up also – love the little braids!
I wanted Brady to have a casual, but hip look to match Krysta’s pretty pink dress. He is wearing a vintage tie and a black vest from H&M.
I’ve also been super inspired by paper flowers + artist Eloise Corrdanch for a long time now. That was actually one of the first things I knew I wanted to incorporate into this shoot when we started talking about it way back in November! I used this template from Martha Stewart but made my petals about twice as big for a more dramatic feel.
This beautiful hair piece is from Untamed Petals and went perfectly with the pink dress!
There were so many great photos, I had to split into two parts, click here to see the rest of the shoot!

Did you make the giant flowers? OR did you buy? I would love to know where you got them or how you made them, they are AWESOME!!!
Hi Ashley! I made them! They were actually pretty easy to do. I used this template from Martha Stewart, but made my petals about 3 times the size of her template. Hope that helps!
