Are you a jazz aficionado? Or perhaps you’ve got a thing for all things French? Do you wish you could travel back to the 1920s? If any of those things are you, then you’re going to fall absolutely *head over heels* for today’s wedding, inspired by a ‘20s French bistro! Sienna + Jonathan decided to hold their special day in one of their favorite restaurants, Juliette, located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. They wanted the feeling of an intimate French café, with all the cozy details + designer/planner/florist, Cana’s Miracle, made just that happen!
Sienna shares Our main inspiration came from our love of French jazz, movies, wine, and pomme frites. We’ve always wanted an intimate setting that felt like a 1920s French bistro, fully lived-in and without all the pomp and circumstance. Beyond the settings and ceremony, every detail and choice was focused on making sure our guests had great food, great music, and a great time. Everything actually felt like it fell into place much easier when it wasn’t just about us.
Let’s travel to France, er, I mean, Williamsburg for this wedding à la française, captured by ONTHETIMES Photography!
Hello GORGEOUS ring from Anna Sheffield!
His reaction is priceless!!
Ever the fashion forward bride, Sienna donned an exquisite Jenny Yoo dress and delicate capelet. It didn’t surprise us one bit when we found out she works in fashion! Want to snag a similar look? Here are a few of our fave pieces:
Sienna’s 20s-inspired hairpiece is from Twigs & Honey.
Dark + moody, how gorgeous is this bouquet by Cana’s Miracle? Complete with thistle, anemone, antique roses, and a spread of eucalyptus, we could stare at this beauty for days…
We were married to a Haruki Murakami short story! Our officiant wonderfully wove the story of how we met into the ceremony, mixing in literary works and details of us seamlessly. Coming in a close second was our "on-the-go," super unplanned first dance where we had to move across two rooms, with our friends and family joining us along the way.
Their photographer, Caitlyn of ONTHETIMES Photography shares: This wedding shows that you don’t have to have a huge party and tons of details to make a great wedding day, even focusing on a few things that are most important to you like the venue or florals, or of course the dress, can make the day as beautiful. But at the end of the day it’s about the union you are making and the best way to represent that.
Processional: Parlez-Moi D'amour by Lucienne Boyer (Instrumental oOnly)
Recessional: We didn't have a recessional, we just melted into our crowd of guests!
First Dance: At Last by Etta James
Hello AMAZING!! The room at Juliette was decked out with abundant greenery + an assortment of candles… Sienna + Jonathan frequented this restaurant during their years of dating, so it was only fitting to have the wedding here. How cute is that?!
We did almost everything online, wedding service quote sites are really useful! Keep a shared document with all the services you need, checking them off as you get contracts signed. It really reduces the stress as you see everything fall into place.
Congrats, S+J!! And thank you for letting us in on your absolutely gorgeous day!
Who else is wanting to plan a trip to Paris — or Brooklyn — now?

What a romantic and beautiful day. Sienna and Jonathan nailed the romantic bistro feels for their wedding day. I loved Jonathan’s expression when he first saw Sienna too! Congrats to the happy couple!
