The Great Gatsby is one of the books most of us were assigned to read in high school and it will be appearing on the big screen next year (starring Leo DiCaprio no less), so I’m excited to share this gorgeous inspirational shoot created by Ashley Photographer + the Itty Bitty Party Committee. A bit behind the shoot from Ashley:
The Great Gatsby is something I’ve always drawn inspiration from – specifically with my own 1920’s themed wedding 5 years ago. For this shoot, I wanted to not only focus on 1920’s style which is always a popular wedding theme, but this time I was particularly inspired by the romantic and feminine elements present in the 1974 film in some of the opening scenes with Daisy. So much of the Art Deco era is very black, white and bold in terms of color and I wanted to illustrate that the 1920’s can be done in softer tones, specifically soft pinks and gold, which always marries well with bridal style. The private estate where the shoot was held was actually built in the 1920’s and hasn’t been majorly renovated since.
Thanks so much to all the creative artists below for sharing their talents with us today!
