Whimsical Flower Farm Wedding Inspiration

Coral Inspiration

When you love flowers more than anything, tying the knot on a flower farm would be a total dream! So when Wollam Gardens announced they would be opening a wedding venue on their flower farm in Jeffersonton, Virginia, Haley Tobias Events + Darlings and Daydreams jumped at the chance to produce a shoot there. They tell us, The venue will be used primarily for weddings and flower farming workshops. The pavilion is crafted from all local materials, with the timber coming from about three miles down the road. The trees were stripped of their bark and sanded down, but the natural shape of the trees was left intact to create a truly organic pavilion. The builders even left portions of the roots attached to give the illusion of the pavilion growing out of the earth. Not to mention, the grounds of this venue are amazing! Who wouldn’t want to get married surrounded by fields of flowers?

And when your surroundings are almost exclusively flowers, there can be a lot of pressure to craft the right type of bouquet that will complement, but not compete with its background. Haley Tobias totally nailed it, with a gorgeous + textural pink + peach bouquet for the bride + beautiful arrangements + floral accents to match. And, lucky for us, Annamarie Akins Photography captured it all on camera so we get to share in the beauty!

Aside from (of course) flowers, a lot of the inspiration for this editorial came from Needle and Knot’s fiber art tapestries! Aren’t they so pretty for a whimsical ceremony backdrop?
