Stylish Seattle Warehouse Wedding: Cat + Jim

Seattle Wedding

Ladies, here’s something your groom might wanna hear. Today’s bride, Cat, wanted to avoid overly feminine decor, so she worked with a neutral color palette of gold, green, and white and took a lot of input from her groom, Jim, to make sure they day represented the two of them! They wanted a romantic feel for the evening + DIY’d much of the design so they could be as hands-on as possible with all the details. Cat says, We wanted our day to be thoughtful in décor; all items were thrifted in the Seattle area or handmade. We’ve never really been ones to take on big projects, but making our ceremony backdrop and the marquee hearts were two very fulfilling projects that we were thrilled with upon completion.

We love that they called their celebration “The Wedding of the Century”! Such a fun way to look at your day :) Thanks so much to Mary Kalhor for sending these gorgeous images our way!

And obsessed with everything that made up her wedding day look! The hair + makeup by Megan Bingham was so on point, and that “La Vie” dress by Sarah Seven, paired with Sarah Seven’s Highness Belt? A total rockstar look!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Our ceremony was definitely our most memorable moment. It was important to us to keep it playful, short (but sweet), and let our guests grab drinks before it started. Our friend marrying us shared funny stories from our past and we didn’t reveal our vows with each other until the ceremony. We loved the element of surprise and real emotion it brought. It truly represented us as a couple.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Be realistic in your budget and keep your wedding about what you want. Do your research. So many people say they don’t want to have an expensive wedding, they just want a big party. But it’s the party that costs so much. Get multiple quotes on larger ticket items and negotiate. Remember it’s your day, so don’t be afraid to get what you want and don’t settle.
