Happy Monday, lovelies! We’re excited to start the week off with Julie + Nate’s incredibly lovely warehouse wedding, which took place at Union Pine in Portland! You may remember these cuties from their engagement session at home that we featured just a few months back. It was one of our favorite e-sessions, and we love their wedding just as much! They incorporated some really dynamic + personal details into their celebration, which you’ll read about in Julie’s blurb below, to ensure it was a true reflection of their life + love. And the florals, by The Green Dandelion, seriously could not be prettier! I mean, check out that gorgeous hanging installation above! Here’s more, from Julie, about the day:
Our vision was to include everyone in an intimate ritual, to share our true selves and to raise the vibrations of love to great heights. I included my bridesmaids and flower girl in a grounding ritual prior to the ceremony to connect the loving quality of friendship. Nate’s father conducted the ceremony and guided the guests in a visualization mediation prior to the processional, which set a tone of spiritual intimacy. It was amazing to feel how present everyone was when it came time to exchange vows. We shared our personal vows and recited some of our core intentions together. All of the intentions for our marriage were printed on cards and hung around the space along with sprigs of rosemary from our epic rosemary bush in our backyard. We sprinkled crystals everywhere and gave guests a piece a rose quartz for gifts. We made all the dreamcatchers from scratch and my father baked an insane amount of italian cookies.
Thanks so much to Phil Chester for the gorgeous photos + big congrats to Julie + Nate!
Julie’s dress, by Lena Medoyeff, is one of the prettiest I’ve seen in a while! Lena’s gowns are locally made of fair trade silks from a family run mill at the foothills of the Himalayas. It’s always fun to learn about designers + creatives who practice responsible business ethics without skimping (at all!) on style! :)
Nate’s gift to his groomsmen were these hatchet peace pipes!
And doesn’t this rustic, industrial ceremony space give you total wedding envy? Pretty incredible!
Julie gifted her bridesmaids with packs of beautiful tarot cards, which were also used in the table decor. And the artfully placed moss + vintage bottles holding blooms were a pretty combo, giving the setting a forest-like feel.
Our most memorable moment from the evening had to be at the end of the night when our friends linked arms and danced in an ecstatic circle around us to a Cranberries song. We were both spinning and kissing and laughing in the vortex.
In love with these fun shots!
Our advice is to simplify the details. Maybe its the Italian in me but family style dining keeps it intimate and imbues a sense of sharing. Revel in the creative opportunities and choose a photographer that you connect to. You can do anything you want, express yourself. Let go of the small stuff, be present and let true love ring.

Portland is so wonderfully dreamy! Loving what this couple did with their wedding day. xo
What a beautiful couple and flawless event – the plants, rose quartz, unique place cards and a Cranberries-vortex-dancing circle?! I’m in smitten.

Love the rustic theme and the brides gown! The rustic theme has been popular among some of the brides who have had their wedding registry with us and it also worked really well!
The wedding looks so beautiful and romantic! I love the last two shots!
Oh that dress, so stunning, and to get married surrounded by all that greenery? How wonderful!
Beautiful bride and venue! Love the bridesmaid dresses too!
Fabulous dress – love it.
Beautiful! The last pics of the night are awesome! So much fun. Are thiose flares? Where did they buy them?
Where did they get those smoke sticks! So fun.
What a wonderfully unique wedding. So much to see! And I’m in love with the bride’s dress! ugh. Gorgeous!
What did you use for your centerpieces? It looks like moss, but I’m not sure. Thanks!
