Glamorous Loft on Pine Wedding: Calli + Chris – Part 2

loft on pine ceremony

And we’re back! If you didn’t get to see Calli + Chris’ stunning ceremony, backtrack to Part 1 to see it now. Next up is their super fun reception, complete with sequins, modern-glam details and the prettiest lighting design we’ve maybe ever seen! Dramatic in the best of ways :) We love that Calli + Chris’ day is total proof than an indoor wedding can truly be just as incredible (or not more so!) as an outdoor affair!

Let’s take a peek at a couple fun portraits of the newlyweds, captured by Aaron Young, before getting into the stunner of a reception!

Trust your your decisions. It’s really easy to over think every last detail but, especially with a shorter engagement, there isn’t time to do that. Give yourself credit, go with your gut and I promise it will end up more than beautiful than you could have ever imagined! Hire vendors that you trust (it will make the process less stressful), don’t hire a vendor just to save a dollar or two. It really does make a difference, you do get what you pay for. Also, I cannot stress this enough: HIRE A WEDDING PLANNER! (it will save your sanity )

Glamorous Loft on Pine Wedding: Calli + Chris – Part 1

bridesmaids in black

If you remember this stunning styled shoot, which took place at the new super rad Cali venue, The Loft on Pine, you – like us – have probably been waiting with anticipation to lay your eyes on a pretty real wedding to be hosted there. Well friends, we have a treat for you today! Meet Calli + Chris, the adorable duo who had the honor of being the first couple to exchange their vows at this incredible location! And the details of their glam celebration, planned by Heather of LVL Weddings & Events, are just SO GOOD, so we’ve spread their day out into a two part feature as not to leave anything out! Here are a few words from Calli to lead things off:

Chris and I are not very traditional people, so one thing we knew we didn’t want was a traditional reception so we decided to do more of a lounge style rather than an assigned seating with a sit down dinner. Chris is a very go with the flow/”whatever you want honey” and I am very much a gold/glam/fancy type of gal so incorporating more of a laid back seating arrangement with a glam feel was what we decided to go for. It was the perfect reflection of who we are together.

Guys, get ready for the goodness! Everything was captured beautifully by Aaron Young...

We’re loving everything about Calli’s look! She rented her beyond gorge gown from One Night Affair. Such a smart idea if you don’t want to (or can’t!) blow a big chunk of your  budget on the dress!

Just ONE moment? Sorry, I have 3: 1. As my father was walking me down the aisle and I was crying, I looked up at my husband and saw him about to lose it (which deep down every girl wants). Then he turned around just for a second to wipe his tears. It was so precious and a moment I will never forget. 2. I am a lover of all things glitter//gold//confetti//sparkly so, of course, I had to have a confetti cannon. It went off right after our pastor announced us as husband and wife and (apparently) by the look on my face you would have thought it was a surprise to me. Our first steps together as husband and wife was with confetti cascading from above- it was perfect!!! 3. One thing that I wanted was to have a reception reveal. I have been a part of so many weddings that I have never truly been surprised by the final product, it’s always been more apart of the whole process. It was hard for my husband to be surprised as he was involved with the lighting, but this was something that I really wanted- and I am so, so happy that I did. One of the best moments of my life- of course, I started crying and gave HUGE hugs to Heather and Larrissa (and then they started crying). It was literally the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I really didn’t think I could be blown away having done so many weddings, but I’m so glad I was wrong.
